Mobile App Suggestion

    Mobile App

    okay, I've been thinking about this for a while now and I think that having a mobile app for the skyblock forums would be a great idea.

    Firstly I know there's a lot of people who use their phone, device, etc to go on skyblock from the internet. When they try to post something the text goes wack and the formatting is all out of place.

    Secondly Not everyone is always available to access their computer 24/7 and want to check out the skyblock forums. So an app would be perfect for people on the go.

    Now I know that having an app would have to have an immense amount of work put into it, but if you could just read this and even just consider it. I think people would appreciate it.

    (sorry for the poor thread quality. this was rushed)

    Support, i often check skyblock on my phone, it would be easier than searching for it on the internet every time.

    There used to have one, the Tapatalk app but it has been disabled for a reason.

    There was a glitch where some people were able to see some of the hidden content used by the staff.

    Um the website hope page is optimised for mobiles as i figured out, but the fact is that a mobile site is a good idea for many websites. I studied mobile website deigns, and also created a few of my own. In this case you have to think whether or not its needed. Some people prefer to have everything closed while playing MC and would appreciate a mobile website, so they can access the fourms, however it is PC minecraft. There probably will be another dev who is more than capable of running a mobile site

    The format is not that mobile friendly. tbh, i studied mobile web designs as i said b4, and, while the website is scaled down to fit mobile devices, parts of the design are too similar to the desktop version while makes it harder to use. In fact a key example is there are too many things on the homepage which takes a while to scroll down. The main forums layout is ok, they did a good job with that, but its fairly hard to navigate through pages. when writing a reply the forums tools buttons are also a tad small. This website is made for portrait mode primarily. On close look its a mini desktop website. While it kinda makes using the forums easier on the go, navigation is quite difficult with small buttons. Now i use an iphone 5, so the screen is narrow and long, maybe a samsung galaxy user would have less issues, those with iphone 4s and below are probably not having a fun time. So really, some improvements need to be made to make the mobile site a little easier to navigate, otherwise i think its ok

    I was just thinking about this last night. I know that there would be a whole bunch of work that would have to be put into this but the main reason i would like to see an app is because it would be nice to have alerts/notifications when i have an inbox or an alert on the forums.
    I agree with this and would give my full support and all my ideas if this site was made into an app.

    So a proper app rather than website theres a few apps out there that support using fourms, so maybe that could happen, or the right person to make an app might be found. But i dont think they will :/ but good idea

    Shall we close this? There is no real point to an app. There is a mobile layout and it works just as fine (except for typing).
