Mega-Guide to .NET

Getting started​

When you first join, in order to make an island you’ll need to do /newisland create. A standard starter island will look like this:



From each island you get three sand, seventy-eight dirt, six oak logs, twelve string, one lava bucket, one bone, one sugarcane, one of each mushroom, two ice, one pumpkin seed, one melon slice and one cactus. Careful however! Resetting your island just to get the items is known as island farming. This is a bannable offence, so think twice before doing this.

Didn’t get a sapling from the tree? No need to reset your island, all you need to do is /kit sapling!



Next is making a cobble generator. All you need to have is your lava bucket and one ice. First, dig four blocks from your island’s spawn. The second block to the right should be dug an extra block. Fill the left side with water and the right side with lava. Be careful not to make the lava your /spawn! Here’s how it should look:



After a cobble generator is made you’ll probably want to make an infinite water source. All you need to do is put two water sources on two opposing corners of a 2x2 square. It should end up looking like this: (minus the FatalDisaster, of course.)



There are different ways to get food. The easiest one is going to /warp animal.



However, growing crops such as wheat on your island is just as good if you have the patience to do so. Crops you can grow are wheat, carrots, pumpkins, melons, sugarcane, and possibly beetroot if the server ever upgrades to 1.9.

Lastly, there is locking chests. If you’d like a more detailed version of lockette you can go to one of Lycel’s threads here. How do you lock? All you do is put a sign on a chest’s face and not type anything. It will show up as [Private] [player]. Please note you cannot lock for other people. As you can see, Yannaconda locked a chest so it shows up like:



But what if you want to add more people or even a group of people to the lockette? First right click the lock and then do /lockette 3-4 [player OR words]. You can also add groups of people e.g: [mods] so all full moderators can access the chest. Please note that trusted full moderators and supermods can bypass lockette.

Shops & trading​

If you want to hold tradeshops (tutorial down below) you need to decide whether or not you want to keep your island locked or unlocked. A locked island means no normal players/trial mods can access your island. Full mods and up can bypass locked islands. If you unlock your island, everyone is welcome to go to your island using /visit [player].

/l = Lock.
/u = Unlock.

Setting up tradeshops are fairly simple. All you need is a sign, chest, and items to put in your shop. The format for the sign for tradeshops is: (line one) [Trade] (line two) # [Item being sold to buying player] (line three) # [Item buying player is giving] (line four) [Player]. In this example Yannaconda is selling a stack of cobblestone for one grass.



Trading with players can be risky business. Having moderators not supervise a big trade (e.g: two hundred diamonds for a beacon) is at your own risk. Let this be a warning to always have a moderator supervise a trade no matter if it’s a big one or a small one.

Not to mention trading items in-game for a rank on the server is also at your own risk. We cannot recover stolen money if you are scammed in-game.

Regarding illegal to sell items, you can go to this more in-depth thread made by fungamer333, here. Also regarding item for IRL money trading, it is not allowed. The only item to IRL money trading allowed is if the profits go to one of Noobcrew’s servers. (e.g: I pay someone 4000 diamonds for $400 donor. That is allowed.) Trading items for accounts is also unallowed. Breaking the item/IRL trade rule will lead to a very high ban length or even a permanent ban.

tl;dr this part is just saying item/IRL trade is illegal and not having a moderator supervise big trades is at your own risk.

Economy ​

Disclaimer: don't keep rares in your enderchest. There have been multiple reports overtime of people saying their enderchests have been wiped. Adding onto this moderators cannot log enderchests, making it even more unsafe. The best way to keep rares is in a secure, locked chest. (highly recommend if you're in a coop to have a separate rares chest for each player)

Generally the way to get your first rare is ask for donations, save up, sell things (such as wood, things that can be farmed), or get diamonds/grass/iron from your kit. A common way to get more diamonds or profit is just to get a rare for cheap, and sell it for higher. The way you get into the economy is really up to you however, these are just tips on how other players have gotten into the economy.

As for saving up, try your best to limit yourself. (e.g: if you buy something, try to have at least a couple stacks of currency left so you don't go completely bankrupt.)

Voting​

The most common way to get items like grass, diamonds and iron (apart from kits) is voting. We have two voting sites and if you are the top voter of the month you can get a coupon for the donation site. If you go in-game and do /rewards, all voting rewards are listed there. Vote sites are here, and here. From voting you can also get crate keys.

Donating & kits​

If you’d like to donate to help our server, and for perks and kits, donate here. Each donor package has different kits, and they range from $10 USD - $400 USD. Every rank apart from $400 donor has their own kit. All the perks for each kit are listed on the site given above.

List of ranks you can buy: $10 donor, $25 donor, $50 donor, $100 donor, $250 donor and $400 donor. Regarding $400 donor, you will need to ask CypriotMerks before getting it.
