Is Mob Arena removed?

Back in 2012-2014, there were mob arenas (I think that's the year). But now in 2016, I haven't seen it being released. Was it removed when I didn't know about it?

 

Yes it has been removed.

 

I think it was removed when the server went over to Minecraft 1.8 back in 2015

 

It was removed and they attempted to add it back, but it lagged the server and I think some issues were happening, so they removed it again. It probably happened while you were gone as it took place a while ago.

 

I like the mob arena... Well it can't be done. Removed, yet never forgotten. Thanks for the answer.
