[InTheBigBushes] Console Ban

I was just playing skyblock, and then all of a sudden, it said I was banned! But I didnt do anything wrong and i don't know why I have been banned! It said that the Ban Hammer has spoken, and I am banned for half an hour! One thing that I fell may have gotten me banned is when I was selling banners, and then Decus payed me 2 grass, and Mausje521 took the grass (he was also at my shop) and then I was trying to get Mausje521 to give me back the grass, and then Decus was trying to /msg him too, and then all of a sudden, Decus said something like "Don't play jokes on admin boys!" or something like that, but it was no joke and I had No idea what he was talking about! I kept telling him, "This is no joke!'' but he never replied and I don't know what any of this was supposed to mean! Please help! I really love this server!!

I believe you might of been banned by Console. It probably thought you were flying. Were you lagging at the time?

 

Well I was shearing my sheep and it lagged for like 5 seconds, and then I played for about 30 more seconds, then I got that pic.

 

Also, if you get banned, does your account get changed or anything?

 

And what does warning points mean? Like under peoples profile pics it says warning points.

It appears that this was a temporary console ban. Console is the automated moderator, it's a computer program that automatically bans hackers. Mainly it takes care of fly or jump hackers, however it also bans for block glitching. Block glitching happens accidentally all the time, especially during lag, and especially around half slabs, stairs or any other block that isn't a full block.

That little lag spike that you experienced, could have caused your character to block glitch slightly which Console could have seen as hacking, and so, you were automatically temporarily banned.

Not really. Getting banned by console doesn't affect you at all (except of course temporarily being banned from the server. However, if you are banned by a moderator for breaking the rules, that is recorded on the forums and can effect moderator decisions regarding you in the future. (No one claimed this ban though and nothing came up when I checked the logs, so as mentioned above, it's most likely a console ban).

Warning points have to do with the forums punishment system. It's completely separate from in game actions and comes into play if you break forums rules. Just mind the forums rules and you won't have to worry about warning points.

Just to be careful, I would take a look over the rules...

But if you're sure that you followed all of the rules, then just carry on playing. Be careful on half slabs, stairs and any non solid blocks, and be extra careful during lag spikes and hopefully it won't happen again.
