I think spawners these days go from 3 dias (rarely) to 6 dias . 1 diamond block is 9 diamonds godded or not so I would say 2 at best.

Getting 2 spawners for 4 diamonds each would probably be your best bet. Look in the chat for people selling spawners.

I'm interested: Who makes these prices...? Because if we're talking actual, real life value for these items then "4 diamonds per spawner" is hilariously cheap. Unless I'm missing something the only way to reliably get a monster spawner is through a /kit command you can only use once every five days. Since we know the RL cost of grass that means one spawner is equal to 170 grass blocks. By the same metric one diamond is worth 11.33 grass. That means in actual, this-is-your-real-life time: 1 Mob Spawner = 15 Diamonds
Myrm, right now, the price is 4-6 diamonds per spawner. It doesn't matter if Cyp sells eight diamonds for 32 dollars, people nowadays usually sell it for 4-6 diamonds
I would like seeing you get a spawner for 6+ diamonds if you may. I'd sell it for 6 if you want to buy it.
We dont use the irl cost however. This is because unlike in game, the shop prices are fixed. So people put their own value on items in game to what they want for items. For as long as I have been playing, a little over 2 years now, spawners have remained the same price. This isn't a new development. 1 Spawner is worth around 3-4 diamonds. The diamond block can be ungodded so the value of the block should not change. So essentially you can get 2-3 spawners.
