My favorite/best item I own is my lucky block of redstone.
I named it "Lucky Redstone" when I got it from a lucky vote. So here's how the story goes: I told Akrill that I would get something lucky from the vote when I voted. (This was when Akrill was still a moderator.) I voted at the first website and didn't get anything. When I voted at the second website, I managed to get a block of redstone, and I rubbed it in his face about how lucky I was. Hence my lucky block of redstone.
