Bring Back Forums Moderator

Hello Skyblock,

There are some of us that no longer want to play In - Game, but want to stay on forums, we might want to be Forum Moderators. So ya bring it back!

Gimme feedback!

Neutral . One good forum administrator is fine, but we would need at least one forum moderator.

 

Eh, I think that the in-game moderators moderate the forums enough. It's a two-way deal: if you moderate in-game, you moderate the forums, and if you moderate the forums, you moderate in-game. Frankly though, I wouldn't care if we got some forum mods, so neutral.

I didn't see the point in them really because it's what we do too.

 

Even if it did get added back, to get forums mod, you'd need to apply for Mod then work your way up to it.
No support though. Mods are literally forums mod, just named something different.

 

Support, after one of the best forum admins/smods was demoted, things went crashing even further down. It's no question, this position needs to be filled. you can keep saying all you want that it isn't necessary, but this server will have troubles with the vacancy of that position.

in order to get your appeal accounts for bans to be accepted, you have to ask a forum admin. Just one is not enough, I would love to see this come back, it is necessary.

we could still use forum mods. We don't have enough right now. Preferably we would find an unbiased moderator.

 

I'm sure Sean could've done that too, he's just a people to do it when it needs to be done. Sean was honestly the best forum ranked staff we've had. Nothing against Exstat though.

Forum Moderator had the same privileges as a normal Moderator on Skyblock. I don't see the point of bringing the Rank back.

 

It's really not nessacary. We have an active forum administrator, and plenty of mods to do work on forums. Forum moderators would just do the same thing as moderators, but only forums, so I don't see the point of having a forum moderator when we have a bunch of moderators who could do it.

 

Support, now the forum admin has to do everything. (almost)

 

I'd support having a second forums administrator however.

 

I'm remaining neutral on this. Whilst it's a nice idea to have forums mods who are just dedicated to forum issues, disputes, and general forum organisation it lifts a weight from the job of the mods who have perms both in-game and on forums.

If you're willing to volunteer your time for the server community, then ideally you'd be active in-game as well. It makes report handling easier, as you can handle issues that appear in-game too rather than having to contact another member of staff in-order to carry out the infraction.

For the player's who've had possession of the forum mod rank, they've done a brilliant job, however from previous experience of handling forum issues, there were no situations that specifically needed a forum mod over any other type of moderator.
