Beacons!

ONLY ANSWER IF YOU ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THIS!!!

Two questions:

1. Why do my beacons spin so slowly and in a tic toc fashion like every second, and not flowing and smooth-like.
2. Why do my beacon lights keep disappearing(i.e.: I have to go back down to the beacons and wait for the light to appear again then go back up)?

PLEASE explain in detail!

 

It may be server lag

Actually, it might be. Sometimes it happens with me when the chunks don't load and I have to go super close to the beacon to see it.

 

1. I think depending on how many effects you have, what level effect it is changes the speed, though its not that noticeable.
2. If you want to fix this I recommend (if you haven't already) use optifine. It has a feature called something like lazy chunk loading, or rendering or something. Turn that to on. The light is definitely there you just can't see it. Beacon lights are quite buggy they're hopefully fixing them in 1.8-1.9

 

It's a problem within the game. Like Ender said, I recommend you install optifine.
