Actually used it today. It was awful - did you know 20 mins on the underground is the equivalent to smoking a cigarette or something?? It’s crazy. Anyway, on my endeavours into the city, the train served its purpose. Overall I would give this a B rating

As I continued my journey into the depths of London, I was met with some rather familiar faces. In fact, my own mother was returning home via the same station. This was a pleasant surprise to me, as I said ‘Hello mother!’ and shook her hand, ‘Top of the morning to ya!’ she humbly responded. It was a pleasant experience. A* rating.

However, my bus to the station itself managed to propel itself to a level lower than I thought the mayor could place our public transport under: after ten minutes of stationary immobility, the bus’ microphone calmly announced that there would be a diversion, delaying my trip. The calm announcement did not match the general public’s thoughts. D rating for that one.

As I finally stepped foot in the heart of the city, I was met with a barrage of different colours illuminating my path. To get my delightful mother a gift for her birthday tomorrow, I began by entering a jewellery shop. ‘Women love jewellery!’ I thought to myself. However, the price tags on the most minute specs of ore were enough to put my unemployed self out the door within minutes. Another D rating

I ended up in somewhere more tailored to my price range: H&M, where I decided I could buy her some chic clothing or some items utilised around the home. I stumbled upon a magnificent jug, one which I had never seen before. It was shaped like a fish! I immediately knew I had to buy this spectacular jug for my mother so added it to my bag. A rating for that!

The other valuable I searched for was, yes, clothing. If there’s one thing women love more than jewellery, it’s clothing! I can thank my ex-girlfriend for that one. I found myself in a the midst of a multitude of clothing - truly a sight to behold. I settled with a white garment: very nice, I thought to myself. Her favourite colour too! And the best part was, my card was not denied! A*!

I then made my way home - sike! MrEPro never leaves without food! And KFC had just released a near sandwich, ‘Double Down’ where the buns are replaced with chicken, with a hash brown in the middle. £10.99 was an eyewatering fee to pay for a sandwich, but rest assured I was also equipped with a drink and fries. It was spectacular! Another A*!

This concluded my day out, however, because although I am unemployed, this should be coming to an end soon. In my final year of law school, I must, quote on quote, ‘lock in’, where I study at an even higher degree of effort and determination than my first two years. Therefore, utilising the transport available, I made my way home as swiftly as possible. Transport was mediocre. B rating..
