NA Fight4Glory's Moderator Application [.NET]

This is Fight4Glory, I have been using different accounts since 2012 and have seen this server progress and grow. I never had a forums account until this summer, where I have been posting about everyday and I play Skyblock everyday. I also have played on org and have seen differences between the servers. I help players all the time, but some will not take you seriously because you do not have [Mod] title, so I would want that so I can further help the players of the sever.

Which timezone are you in?

Eastern Standard Time, but that normally doesn't mean anything, I have done all nighters on the server before.

I speak German, English and Spanish

Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?)

I have now indeed been banned once. This ban lasted almost a month where a lot of bad things happened to me and people I was friends with. I eventually proved that I should be unbanned. I don't think that anybody in the whole situation was terribly wrong and I believe from the experience I have learned. This can help me be a stronger Mod, it was also good to learn how these kind of ban appeals work and how to deal with them if I became a moderator.

Why do you think you should be a mod?

I think that I should be mod so I can help people better than I can now. As of right now I use colors but saying their name in chat first has been very effective so far (Example: Fight4Glory Lava Trade is illegal. Trade obsidian instead.), but I'm constantly looking for new ways to effectively communicate that rules and answers to questions. I don't know why, but something in me always enjoys helping people and answering people's questions. That's something that I have always enjoyed. As a Mod, I would have a prefix and ability to color that could help people more often and more effectively. A lot of times I have found myself to be the only one helping people on the server, while no Mods are on. I also firmly believe that Mods hold the server together and prevent the server from going to chaos.

I know Skyblock.net and the People who Play on it
Since I have been off and on since 2012, I know how the server runs. I know all the illegal items to trade and why they are illegal to trade. I will not direct someone to /warp illegal because the warp is outdated and people will then try to tell people who are trading gravel that they are committing an illegal trade and will get them banned. I can also answer most questions about price ranges for things, like grass, diamonds, gravel, beacons, end portal frames, etc. As a Mod you have to know all the rules, which is good because that further improves preservation on the server, one qualification I already meet.

Active
I am always active. I may not be able to connect to the server for whatever reason, but that doesn't stop me from answering questions and watching threads. I recently was on a flight that had Wi-fi, but the bandwidth is not good enough to let me play on servers, so I was on the forums that whole time talking and learning. If I won't be able to be on for a long stretch of time, I will inform staff of that.

I try to be very unbiased
I know that one can not be completely unbiased, but I do the best to my ability, even if that means banning one of my friends. I don't normally think about who is wrong or right, I just go with what the rules are, but I will think about the correct person if the situation presents me with that. I have before gotten my friend banned for island farming, I wasn't going to turn him in at first if he threw the dirt and sand off the edge and either joined a coop or made his island, but he refused so I got him banned. I'm in 8th Grade as of right now in a K-8 school, so I am in a transition to find a new school.
Something about the school I'm going to right now is that we are very based around an honor code, which is good at sometimes and bad at others, but the important part is this: One of the schools I was applying to is also very big on their honor code. They told a story about a kid coming back from Spring Break with Pot. His friends found out about it and told him plain and simply, "You have 24 hours to get rid of it before we turn it in". You may be asking "How does this kid with pot at a school relate to Skyblock?" Well, I believe the rules established on the server is the Honor Code and the friend in this situation is the Mods.

I am friendly
I am very friendly to the people that I help and try to communicate as nicely and clear as I can. I sometimes will even go back to people that were griefed and help them re-build and check that they are recovering well. I hate to see someone leave the server because they are mad because of a scam or being griefed, so I will help them recover and be very friendly to them. I enjoy seeing happy friendly people on the server

Qualifications
I know all of the rules, I have experience on the server, I am friendly with people, and I know majority of the big people on the server and I am friends with many people. I help people all the time, so this would just be another step up in the stairs of helping people.

Dedicated
I am legit like addicted to Skyblock. I am on all the time. I help everyday and will continue to do so if I receive Moderator. I am not just dedicated to being online, but doing my job. As of now when people ask me to help them, I will do everything I can to help them, even if it takes 30 minutes.

Typing and Response Time
I am a very fast at typing and can respond very fast. I have been known to accidentally send around 5 messages in a row in chat, which I will apologize if that spams up chat and go and sit in my corner for a bit, until I can help again. This helps a lot when trying to get a point across or giving one instructions.

Mature
I can judge when I need to be Mature. I am not very mature at all with a lot of my friends, but when it comes to a ban worthy offense or someone needing help, I can put a mature hat on and respond seriously to the person. I haven't had the best family situation in my life, so this kind of forces on me to mature faster. I also do have the trait from my father to be able to get overly mad and angry at people, but over the years I have learned how to calm down, handle the situation and move on.

Patient
I am very patient with people when trying to help them. Multiple times I have been wanting to just talk to the person I am helping irl, because of how slow their typing is, but I patiently wait out. I once helped this one person for 2 hours, it was long and hard to communicate with the person, but I got the job done! This person also didn't know how to /msg for the first 30 minutes so I had to teach them that as well. I can also wait a few days for something to come through. I'm not one of those people that when they hear about something, they automatically want to do it right then. I can wait.

How long can you be active on the server every day?
I have a busy schedule, but I can get in around 6 hours a day here and there. Other times I will get in 4 hours. This isn't always in a row, sometimes I'm in and out all day, other times I am on for like 4-6 hours in a row.


Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
I have been a moderator on 2 other servers and an Admin on one before. They weren't big servers, but it was a start.

Some Facts and Things about Me
I'm 14, A lot of people on the server call me Fight, one person calls me Fig and on TeamSpeak I am known as Glory. I don't really like to share my real name, but you guys now know it. My name is Sam. I run Cross Country, and track. I play Football as hobby and play Basketball for my current school. I am also very into coding and Engineering. I take an extra-curricular class for engineering.
