What happened to the server?

    I haven't played on .net in over a year and a few days ago I decided to go on and check out what's new. I reset my old island which was probably worth a looooooooot now, but I didn't know so I got rid of it and started anew. The main thing I wanted to know was why is the mob arena gone? It was my main source of income and now since I started my new island I have no iron, gold, diamonds, or grass and now the only was to get that stuff is by trading. So what was the reasoning behind getting rid of the mob arena?

    People would use "hacks", and I guess cheat, along with it causing some lag. So it was removed.

    Mob arena was bugged, not because of /god or hacks.

    It simply was just glitches/bugs.
    Rumors say it will be added back soon, but who knows.

    Yeah, People used hacks and such, so it was removed. /god was used alot.

    A new island just replaced it lol, cyp removed the plugin afterwards.

    Two main factors: a bug made it impossible to go past a certain round so players were basically stuck and a mod had to end the arena.
    Then the plugin was removed or disabled, new island killed the arena and then the plugin was gone. At least that is basically what happened. Then we ended up with spleef, great game, was removed, 1.8 update and mob arena moved to org. Net is yet to get it yet but it was going to when orgs arena was perfected
