Cyp will promote moderators when he's ready. But we do need more moderators.

I agree that we need more mods from the same timezones because they can all come on at once which is good for the server meaning people can actually get help and people don't need to worry about the mods going afk. I sometimes get a bit disappointed when I see a Mod go afk more than 15 minutes, they got the job to moderate the server and help people with their problems.

It'd be nice if mods weren't promoted in waves.

One or two at a time, little and often will do the server good. Perhaps apps could be reviewed fortnightly, instead of up to two months between any promotions.

But it's all down to Cyp.

There are a few people perfectly capable of moderating the server right now, but are unable to properly due to still waiting to see if they are accepted.

There is a report section on the forums for a reason. Just use that if there is no mod online.

And report every spammer? No thanks. Just warn, kick, mute then ban. Shouldn't expect regular players to moderate the server.

Idk being a mod isn't the same anymore. It seems moderators roles are slowly being taken by commands. Sooner or later, a mods position will render useless. It just doesn't seem fun to be a moderate. (I'm glad that mods don't have to break bridges anymore though)

./ignore and it's not as bad as you think. Moderators have to log every single punishment they give whether it's a kick, mute, tempban, ban, whatever. When I was a mod I would just take a gyazo screenshot of them spamming then just list the punishment I gave. With the forums open on another tab it takes like 30 seconds max. It would take a player pretty much the same amount of time to post a report. And a couple spammers isn't the end of the world. You can just /ignore them, and wait for a mod to get on if you don't want to fill out a report.

^ Mods don't have to log kicks as far as i know or mutes. Maybe a screenshot was sufficient, but im sure a log wasnt necessary for those ideals.

Ahhh it was probably different on hellblock im guessing? If i had to log every kick or mute i would have like 1000 logs or something. (Even though i never did my logs xD)

I tried private messaging him, asking him to stop or he'd end up reported or kicked.

He messaged me "lol you're not a mod, wannabe mod XD"

    He then continued spamming.

There is only so much non-mods can do to help the server. We need more moderators.

Anyway, new moderators are promoted, which benefits the server.

However, you can't just go ahead and clean the whole entire staff team within a couple of days. If you get rid of the somewhat inactive mods and replace them with more active helpers (aka people that have applied for moderator) would be very difficult. More than likely, the active moderators would have to help the ones that have just been promoted, meaning if the new moderators do not learn, they won't be able to moderate. This will also give more stressful work for the moderators who are very well-experienced and active.

I would love to see new moderators to be on the staff team, but it's kinda hard to have that happen all so quickly; it will definitely take time.

Mineverse, however, is different, because there are different gamemodes, and when you apply you're already a full moderator on the specific gamemodes you applied for. Net and org, however, are different because it's one server, and you go through Trial moderator, Full moderator, then Super moderator. For Mineverse, you're automatically full mod (as said previously). So this will be a long process.

I like the current staff team but they could try to have an equal-er amount of staff from different Timezones.
