"My life is f***ed up."

So I've been seeing a lot of depressing and demotivational statuses during my six months here and I want to be completely honest what I think about them in this thread.
First of all, shut the (censored) up. Secondly, this is your life and the reason it is (censored) for you is your fault. If you really want to get friends, then dedicate time and effort to it, after all friendship is the hard and long work. If you always wanted to learn something, like play guitar or piano, then (censored) start doing it, otherwise it will be too late after. If you assume that someone doesn't really like you, no need to cry a river about it. Stop blaming the friends, parents, pets, surroundings, computer games, monsters under the bed for stealing your time because you're the one that is not brave enough to say "No" and spend time on what you really want to do. Whining and crying about it in statuses won't fix or change anything, it will only make it worser. On the Internet, anonymous users hardly care about lifes of other people, so don't get your hopes up to get the real support. You are the only one who can change anything and making excuses is highly pathetic and will lead to nothing.
In average you'll live 39,420,000 minutes. Do you really think it is really worth spending minutes sitting on the chair, playing Minecraft, surfing through forums and whining about your "difficult and (censored) up" life instead of trying to change anything?
    TL;DR: #stopthedepressingstatuses.
P.S: Butthurt people and attention (censored) negatively rated this thread.

I only semi-agree with what you have just said.

But I don't think it's a good idea to express your opinion the way you did. Depression is a touchy subject and it is a real thing for some people. Probably best not to let out your opinion on things like this as it will cause conflicts and tears.

Or we could all mind our own business. Yeah, some people are babies and cry about everything. And it's true that we should reach a maturity level to say "I'm going to forget my past and change my future."

But other people have ways to release stress or depression. Some ways are more annoying or screwed up than others, but hey. If making pitty statuses help them put down the knife- then by all means. Go for it. It's not hurting anybody.

I hope the community learns to embrace each member for who they are. Empathy is a lost art. I hope each member can feel comfortable enough to share their lives, their experiences here....without judgement or criticism.

I agree with most of it.
Especially on Instagram, Tumblr etc, there's a whole ton of these 'pro-ana' s*** >.<
These things can trigger others, etc.

What I don't agree with, is that it's their fault their life is bad.
Sometime's it's not. Like, maybe their parents got in a car accident. That's not their fault.

Imo, it's fine to express your feelings, but to a few people you trust only.
I'm honestly fine with quotes tho, since they're just quotes.
    But anyways

I find that it is best to talk to people that know you. In other words, talk to people that would listen. Try making a private conversation with someone you know and trust instead of letting everyone know about it.

1 in 6 people are diagnosed with depression. Mental disorders exist, whether minor or major and issues such as anxiety, depression and paranoia can arise in young adults. Yes, it's true spouting your words on the internet won't get you anywhere and yes there are communities wherein depression simply manifests but by making a thread such as this it may only discourage those with problems to approach anyone who reach for help as they assume they're purely idiotic.

Personal time: I myself struggle a lot with my emotions, in the beginning I assumed it was just the teenage hormones but I've come to find that I am depressed, I take the medication for it and soon I'll be going to a mental institution to fully diagnose me since I hear voices in my head. Yes, I talked online and posted statuses about how depressed I was and still am, but that only lead to me getting help.

I guess, what I'm trying to say here is become more tolerant. If someone is feeling down, tell them to get a drink of water and to be breathe, or open their eyes to the options such as childline or even other individuals. I've rambled on enough and well emotional instability is a sensitive topic especially on the interwebs, so I guess I'll cut this here. Thanks for reading for those who did.
