    THE ONLY WAY TO START
So I understand some people have problems starting in skyblock.
First off, to make a succesful cobble gen, you must go to /warp noobspawn, walk out of the building you warp into and turn to your left to see a perfected cobble generator.
Turn all the dirt on your island into cobble because every piece of dirt is now a precious resource that can't be sold or bought. Expand your island and start trading for an even more successful time.
Note: The following strategies and most pieces of this thread are relating to the .net server.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    FARMING STRATEGIES
    1. Buy some snow and get a pumpkin for a snow farm, something sold for more than your cobblestone.
    2. Buy eggs and create a chicken farm. Eggs sell for a lot!
    3. Use bonemeal from /warp mob to get seeds (bonemeal on grass for tallgrass, tallgrass for seeds) and make a wheat farm
    4. Make a melon farm by putting your melon from the chest into your crafting area and get a melon seed. Melons don't sell for too much, but large numbers of them can catch somebodies eye.
    5. Make a pumpkin farm. This helps expand snow farms, get jack-o-lanterns, and can be sold for quite a bit.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    TRADING STRATEGIES
So I heard a lot of people have been scammed recently. This has brought me to thinking that perhaps I should add this in:

Trading is Caveat Emporer (Buyers Beware). This means that every time you trade you are taking the risk of losing the item you just gave. Here are some helpful tips to prevent this:

As a new trader, you should only trade with donors. Donors are trusted more than your average player and are a nice way to start. Also, if it sounds to good to be true, it is.

After you've made a bit of a name for yourself with the donors, word will spread that you are a good trader. Now, respectful players will give you their side of the trade before you give them yours.

Donating is a helpful way. If you're a donor and a player who's a non-donor or lower donor than you doesn't give their item first, chances are they're a scammer.

Helpful trading places are /warp noobspawn and /warp nethertrade and /warp skyblock. Trading at most other places will increase the chances of your items thrown being stolen.

These kind of strategy threads are excellent.
Hope more people might want to write about their methods of Minecraft & Skyblock!

No guarantees at all, but if a post is well written, thorough, vetted, accurate, helpful, and has clear visual aids (nicely edited screenshots) and... applies to significant portions of readership (e.g., like a good newbie guide), it has a chance to be stickied. Regurgitation & remake of internet or youtube stuff is not a likely candidate, but it needs to have original thought and content, and no cut & paste of other's words.

I know you asked about this in mail, but I'm stating it here for anyone. But not until next week at least, when certain things are in place. :)

Please mention that this is for the .org server and not the .net server.

Actually, this is for the .net as these farming strategies are the ones I use on .net to get some better items in trading.

The first line of farming stratagies is typo'd. And also, you should post things like exactly HOW you make a snow generator.

Try to perfect it first. Add pictures, add step by step processes, maybe some youtube videos to directly correlate your explanations as well. As i said to zambi, if I find it good enough I will sticky it.
