What is this?
This is 'Graphics For Charity' a charity fundraiser going to help 2 charities! My name Is Jay, I am 15 years old. I am a self taught graphic designer. It is not the only type of art I do although for this fundraiser I will be working with it to give back and ensure we help people around the world. There is more information below.

Why are you starting this?
I want to help people since my nephew was a premature baby himself and also my sister. It isn't easy paying for all the bills by yourself. My nephew is now 9 months and is healthy! Also this is going for breast cancer awareness. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago. She won the battle by the way, but it's very stressful and not everyone can afford chemo and pills and what not.

How Long Is This Going?
I will be hosting this from today June 10th all the way through July 10th 10th! 1 month of me doing art, saving the profit, and then donating it. Whatever profit I receive will be split in half for both charities.

What Do I Receive?
Usually donating has no benefit for yourself but for others. It's not about receiving anything back but knowing you're helping someone. However there is going to be things for you who do donate!

$5 will get you a YouTube rebrand! (Only a YouTube logo and banner)
$10 will get you a full rebrand! (Twitter & YouTube rebrand)
$25 will get you a full rebrand and a YouTube intro! (Twitter & YouTube rebrand + Intro)

What Charities Are You Helping?

March of Dimes
The first charity I will be speaking about is "March of Dimes". March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation
The second charity I will speaking about is "The Breast Cancer Research Foundation". The mission of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide, and increasing public awareness about good breast health.

Why aren't people helping this cause ;w;​

 

They rather make stories or play forum games, and what not. Whenever it's something important they never care. Goes to show what the world finds important.

 

I would but ya know, it's kinda hard for me to because Im only 12 and stuffs. This is an amazing thing to do, I really hope some people see this and actually donate .

Hmm, or it could be the fact that the majority of people here are 12.

 

I had an income at 12, It doesn't have to be $50. Most likely if you are a gamer you have a paypal. It's not hard to spare a few bucks.

 

Not many 12 year olds I know have money in a bank that they can spend or access. Even asking a 12 year old for a 5$ for charity, they are 12 and probably want to buy games and not have much to do with the world.

 

Not everyone is 12, Majority are 13+

 

What about the people that are 11 like me? ;o

mm... You have the skill, but you don't have the imagination.

As my graphics technologies teacher once said;
"Anyone can make a logo: but it takes imagination and creativity to make it stand out."

In your portfolio, a lot of it's all the same. It's all very flashy, and yes, sometimes that works, but many times it's tiring. Less is more in the graphics industry.

Now I'm not saying it isn't good - it's good for what it is, but it's only one thing. There are many different types of art.
