[.Net] Add Nether Quartz (AKA Raw Quartz) To The Shop(s)

AKA if you thought the price was too high you shouldn't have bought it to sell it for more...

 

chrix32 you're wrong, people have spent over a stack of diamonds on it. I only spent 28 Diamonds on it and I didn't purchase it to resell.

 

Basically what I am getting out of this that you guys don't want nether quartz to be accessible to anyone besides the ones that currently have it (which will eventually remove all of it from the server once it is crafted/horded and never sold/barely sold for a higher price that it currently is)

I support just comparators. Not raw quartz. Make it like blaze rods which are "uncommon" (not rare) and they sell blaze powder in /warp grass. People get their comparators and the other people keep their rare quartz rare. Everyone's happy. Now I know there are other craftable items for raw quartz but tough. Such is life. I'll take comparators if I can.

Ps: and no, I don't have any raw quartz whose value I am fretting about.

 

It seems you must have missed the part in my original post since you basically said who cares if people can have access to these 1.8 blocks and only focused on the redstone comparator. To make you life easier this is what I stated: "Several people have asked for just redstone comparators to be added to the shops and not nether quartz to satisfy the redstone crowd. However, the problem with that is these items will not be obtainable unless individually added to the shop (nether quartz is the main ingredient, or is one of the main ingredients for the following):"

This thread is not just about redstone comparators. I simply highlighted that item because it is something I know a lot about. Obviously all of the other items have value to more than just you and I and it is ridiculous that nobody can have access to those blocks since this server is now 1.8. I created this thread to prevent a problem I foresaw in the future for nether quartz not being obtainable. This has nothing to do with getting redstone comparators added to the shop, it is about getting nether quartz added

 

And I said I only support adding comparators to the shop and not raw quartz. I don't want raw Quartz added to the shop. Sorry :/

 

Don't think it would be a bad thing to add it, but in the example that adding it would reduce lag, that is not really true. Hopper clocks basically would use them in comparators so wont really see any changes there for server lag.
Still not sure on .net what the use is of most automated factories since they cant make grass, or items made from them exchanged to be grass. For stuff like sheep spawners automated you still would use a repeater loop to release the water to push them into a killing chamber.

By the way one of the greatest potential lag creaters on a server can be a single comparator looped, it would serve no purpose except to cause lag as redstone circuits will not operate at this rate, but they could be used in mass to contribute extreme loads on a server.

 

What I meant by less lag is more efficient redstone designs. Anyone can make lag inducing machines with a redstone torch and some redstone dust. While it is possible to use any redstone component to make more lag, this item has the ability to reduce lag for many clocks

Also, one of the fastest redstone circuitry is using 3 redstone torches and 1 redstone dust (and some blocks to connect them). So while your point is true, the same can be achieve with basic redstone

I agree for adding comparators to the store as you could make more efficient redstone designs with them. My stone generator relies on a continuous looping circuit, which can produce redstone lag. It would be much simpler for me and the server if comparators are more readily available.

There's no problem with raw quartz being a rare and am against it to be added to the shop, since their use is only limited for aesthetics asides from comparators (If allowed in the shop). If people want to show off their wealth by using them, I have no issues with it.

I misread the line xD Sorry about the confusion, I thought you meant that Quartz had to be added in order to get the new stone type blocks. My mistake therefore ill remove it . However still, I don't see how it would be a problem, as Cyp could just to add the products of nether quartz to the shops. This would spare the rarity of nether quartz and please the ones that are in need of it.
