    I used to go to a private school, and I wanted to shove my principles face in a toilet... and then flush.
    I am in 4th grade, (almost finishing) and I agree

    A couple of hours of studying is nothing. That time will fly by...
    When I was your age, I was usually up until 1-2 in the morning doing homework because I wanted to make sure that my grades were high.
    Nowadays, whenever I have an exam, I usually end up going to sleep a couple of hours before I have to wake up for school.
    You will soon appreciate time a lot more. I never used to, now, it is the most valuable thing to me.

    In England we aren't forced to study at all. Most people do study for their GCSE's though, in year 10 and 11. I'm in year 9 and we have it pretty easy... Most schools I know in England set quite a lot of homework that is pretty hard, but at our school we get maybe 3 pieces of homework a week? And they don't take long at all, they are usually easy as pie. I feel so lucky right now.

    Woah. I'm in year 8 and at my school I get 1 piece of homework a day or 2 usually, and it's still really hard. You're lucky. o;

    Wait until you get into IB (if your school has the program). I had the same amount of hw you have when I was in 8th.

    When I was an apprentice, and my continuing education classes for electrical, all the work was online. You know what guys anywhere from 18-64 do? We man up, get the work done on the times we want to be spending with our families and don't b**** about it. Sure you're testing only goes towards the funding that your school will receive in the years to come, and my work goes towards my job, and my future. But don't you want to be someone who does great on it, and can say "damn I did well. I helped prove my school is worth the extra funds, worth the technology and books and teachers to teach the future generation, my own children, to someday create something amazing". Take pride in your work, wether it's 3rd grade social studies or your final lesson in Med school. You may not realize it now. But someday, it WILL make a difference in yours or someone else's life.

    I never did homework, but it's not something to get angry about, it's a valuable life lesson.

    wait did you see my story the other day it was literally just my friends taking horrific selfies on my phone, and about 200 seconds worth of it

    anywho

    I go to a grammar school meaning I had to take a test to get in etc etc, and let me tell you, it's not easy. at all. I'm currently in year 8 (7th grade) and they're making us do advanced GCSE stuff, so maybe year 10/11 work (9/10th grade? idk) that's probably only us, but jesus christ i have to study like crazy (I don't, I've somewhat given up on it all now)
