I guess before the readers of this actually get into my application, let me say that I am new to the forums, as you can see, but do not let that deteriorate your opinion of me. I have played here before and just now discovered the forums, and they appear to be formatted quite well. I will be using them much more in the future as I am getting back into the server, so I will become more active as time goes on.

Crawling. I changed it from AbyssalEnd a while back in February.

Which timezone are you in?
I am in EST. I live in Connecticut, USA.

Which languages do you speak?
I speak English only.

Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?)
Not on this server, never.

Why do you think you should be a mod?
I believe I should be a Moderator because I am a very mature, loyal person looking for something to look forward to. Your server is a great one and you should be proud of it, but I don't see that many staff members on. I am very active and play for large amounts of time during the day, and at night sometimes. I am 16 years old, in 11th grade, and I know that the general playerbase of MineCraft servers are kids, and I know how to deal with them using specific logic. I have very good ( if I do say so myself ) grammar, and I keep my messages as appropriate as possible, to avoid and conflict. I know the rules of your server and can read them again if you wish. I am not easily made angry by outside sources, and I can keep my cool in practically any situation.

I've been a player of your server for quite a long time, but just now came back after a long break. I simply lost interest as many of my friends quit for unknown reasons, and decided to leave myself. But now, it's calling to me again; your server has grown and become much more stabilized and I simply love that factor. It's got me hooked and I can't stop playing, really. I love SkyBlock and that aspect of growth and progression, and the community is very nice. I'm looking forward to playing here a lot in the future.

I really do enjoy helping people out. It's such an incredible feeling you get when everything is at ease, and you can relax for a few moments. If I were to obtain a staff position here, I would make sure to always try my best and put in all of the effort I can to fix whatever needs fixing.

Many aspects of myself have probably been explained already in the past two paragraphs, but I'll put them into more detail here;

Loyalty:
I am a very considerate person and will not quit or resign because of some simple issue. I know that being a Moderator would bring stress, and I feel I am confident to handle it on a daily basis.

Dedication:
I love Skyblock, but most importantly I love to help people. It's the rush of knowing that someone was in distress and you yourself fixed it, and now everything is at ease. It's truly an amazing thing to take part in, and one of the main reasons I'd like to become a Moderator here.

Honesty:
I am a trustworthy person and I have never abused any commands on your server or any others in the past. I know doing so will result in punishment, but that's a whole other story. I only use the commands I acquire to help, regardless of the temptations.

Attitude:
I am a mature individual who loves to build, and almost all of the time I am in a placid mood. I, surprisingly, hate being the center of attention in real world situations, thus making me a very shy person. However, being a Moderator, I will be as open as possible.

Open Mindedness:
Yes, mindedness is a word, I didn't even think it was before this. Anyways, I am a very lax person and I will take any feedback regardless of the emotions carried within it. I try my best to conform to what others need, whether it be my building style or simply how I go about moderating a server.

Consistency:
I am a very fair person and will not judge punishments based on previous relationships with players. For instance, if the person receiving a punishment is a friend, they will get the same things done to them as if they were a normal player. To simplify, I have virtually no bias. I handle all situations the same, without any changes in my methods.

Professionalism:
I know that this is a big server, and we need to keep it as appropriate as possible seeing as the players are mostly young. I do not swear often, and if I do, it's not public. I handle all situations the same, without any changes in my methods.

Efficiency:
I can take care of multiple things at once, which would make me a good asset to your team. I'm very good at keeping secrets, but I'm also good at getting people to admit to things.

How long can you be active on the server every day?
I can be on for more than half the day if necessary. I am an avid MineCraft player and can come on most of the time if you need me to.

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
Yes, but not on this server. I have been staff on numerous servers, some big, some small, but most leaning towards the smaller range. I know that won't be as accountable than if I had been on a very large server, but every bit helps. The only reasons I have been demoted were small, such as inactivity ( which doesn't happen anymore ), or other basic confusion that goes on. The usual jibber jabber of small servers, where rumors spread and people get accused of things. I am confident that this will not go on here, on your server, as I haven't seen it yet and do not hope to in the future.

Additional Notes / Skills:
I am a very creative person and I love building. I really think you should update most of your builds, like the mob arena, spawn, and the information warps. I honestly believe that if we changed up the warps, the server would be more enjoyable. I am an experienced builder and I'm completely willing to build for you. If you wan't an example of what I'm capable of, here are some screenshots of an arena I built on a server I joined a while ago.





The arena is barely my best work, as I had to rush to finish the last bit's of it. I can do much better builds, and it would be phenomenal if you would give me a chance to show you what I could do for you.

Nice mod app! 50% Support for now, you need a bit more detail and explain a bit more in the 'why do you think you should be a mod' section! Underline to make things even more clearer but I've seen that you have used bold. Also you could add a bit of colour! I haven't seen on the forums before, but it's probably because of the time zones. Good Luck!

 

Thanks for the advice, and I've added a lot more detail into it. Color though, maybe not, it just makes it hard to read, but I guess I can add some in.

 

Just give it some time and prove yourself on the forums. Gain back your reputation with the newer players. Other than that I support you fully.

Edit: Lots of people will tell you to add color. Don't do it :s

Moderators do not get game mode. Your builds are quite nice but it is pretty off topic to the application itself. I would sugguest making a separate thread ..

The application itself is nice, but you only JUST joined the forums. Also as Jolie said, moderators do not get game mode. The builds are irrelevant.

 

He's adding extra suggestions and his skills in his app. There's nothing wrong with that. And where did he ask for gamemode?

 

That's what I'm wondering, I never asked for any form of gamemode at all. And if I did, it wouldn't be permanent; building in creative vs survival is a huge difference.

 

I'm saying that if you think you're building when you're a moderator, you're not.

 

Never said that anywhere, and that isn't necessarily true. If they want something built, they can turn to anyone they please. Doesn't matter if you're a moderator or not. I do not expect to be building 24/7 if I become a Moderator, as the title usually suggests "moderating", not building.

 

Who are you to say that? If cyp wanted something built, I'm sure he would go to his mods first.

I really hate being rude, but once in a while everyone has to stand up for themselves.

You are about to exceed the limits of my medication. The nonsense you are plaguing my application with is giving everyone numerous diseases, and there is no cure. Let me start by saying that I never asked to become a builder. I stated that I was proficient in building as one of my extra skills. This is a moderator application, not a builder one. I only mentioned it to reinforce my application overall, and I have already taken advice from someone else and made a separate thread about it, and it's going surprisingly well.

Look at it as a business metaphor,
The staff team is the employer.
I am applying to be an employee, and building would be "working overtime".
Overtime is optional, and only supports yourself, and will almost never deteriorate ones opinion of thyself.

So please, I ask of you only this: think before you speak.

 

Your mod app is nicely detailed, and you are active as I have seen you on Somethings that I think you need improvement on:

-You just got on forums so familiarize yourself (not going to mention much on that, caused by the previous note on your app) because you are going to have to know every single nook and cranny in it when you are moderator.

-Please be aware that being a mod is very different then building and designing islands. Being a moderator means to be beside people in times of trouble and to help them. Not only banning troublemakers, but teaching them how to do things and rules. That is a very different job from designing islands.

-

What is this talk about, "Think before you speak?" All she is saying is that the part about the buildings is not needed. I will be polite and say that I think the best case would be just to simply remove the part about building.

Otherwise good application my support is 50% so far.
