NA LemoNade_s Moderator Application [EST]

Hello all! My name is (secret ) and I'm in 8th grade (grade 9 school). I LOVE Minecraft and almost every Indie game. I've been playing minecraft for about two years; I quit for a year, and then came back last year June. Enough about me, so let's move on to my application

I believe that "try" is not a good word to use here, but I will rather use "do." If you ever see the word "try" (other than here) in my application, feel free to comment about it.

Why do you think you should be a mod?

As I've heard from other people say, "Being a moderator is hard work." However, I'm up for the challenge. Being a fast typer and able to help in an instant is a great character, I believe, for being a moderator. Being a moderator isn't only to help people, it's also to make people's jobs and lives easier, as well as saying what's right. Here are some reasons I believe I should be a moderator:

Treating others equally
We've all been that greenie that may annoy people and feel left out, and we all know how that feels. I do my best to treat everyone equally, whether he or she is just a greenie or a donor400. I am non-biased and have a very objective attitude to when I help people.

Mini-modding when a Moderator is Away From Keyboard
If a moderator is ever not available to talk, too stressed out, or just cannot simply be on at that time, I gladly "take over" his or her position until he or she is able to be available to others.

Quick to Help, but Slow to Anger
Many would concur to this statement, as I think I am quick to help and often don't get angry. I often am asked for help by many, and when I am asked I automatically drop what I am doing and help, whether it be "why won't my sapling grow," or, "why isn't my spawner working?" But in reality, there is only so much I can do, so that's one of the main reasons why I would want to be a mod.

Trustworthy
Many moderators have lost his or her trust because of things they did and kept from others. If I were to become a moderator, I would promise to never break the rules in an extreme way. I also have proven myself to be a man of my word and keep promises that I will never break.

Helpful
Although I've been on this server for a few months, I fully understand the controls and commands, as well as what it means to "help."
On a regular basis, people will see me answer questions and help with regular necessities that some people cannot figure out how to do without someone else.

Friendly
I've only been on this server for a few months, but the connections and community I've made with this server is beyond comprehension; I feel as if they're family. I try my best to be friendly and kind, and others can be a source for this statement. I also like to god and repair things for free (I know that's not much, but for some people).

Enduring
When people become moderators, they often would feel as if it's too hard; I'm up for the challenge. With power comes great responsibility, so I'm ready to take on that position as long as I can. From what I've heard, people have resigned as moderators because they think "it's too hard." Moderators get demoted for not respecting the rules (which I plan to never do if I become a moderator) or because of inactivity (not an issue for me).

Great Mediator
If anyone is having a debate, I would be glad to be a mediator and be unbiased in all situations. Although I may not be able to solve the issue, I will do my best to try to make sure the situation is resolved.

Patient
If there is ever a time when someone is AFK (Away From Keyboard), I will make sure I get back to them as soon as possible. I have witnessed many instances when a moderator was AFK and would come back to help me, but then they leave. I will do my best to get back to people ASAP.

Mature
I have first-handedly experienced a moderator being completely immature while I needed help. Come to find out, she couldn't help me, so I want to be that moderator that helps others and is more focused on being mature and responsible rather than doing nothing to help others. On a daily basis, I hear others say to me, "I thought you were 17 or something, not 13."

Funny -> Serious Instantly
More recently, I've been trying to get involved with chat and make people feel welcome and included. If anyone needs my help, I drop what I'm doing and go to help them as soon as I can.

Organized
Moderators generally get a lot on their plate, so you have to be organized. Typically, while I'm helping others, I am bombarded with five questions at one time; however, I make sure to get back to every one of them as soon as possible

Often helping in chat
I find myself, most of the time, answering questions on the public chat whenever I can. I not only ask if people have questions, as well as answer questions they may have, but I also tend to see the following: "Selling dirt for lava bucket," or, "Buying sand dirt and buckets." When I see this, I immediately tell them that "Bucket trade is illegal," or at least something similar.

I easily learn from my mistakes
If I accidentally type in a wrong command, or learn a rule that I knew nothing of, I easily learn from it and will do my best to not do something wrong in the future.

Forgiving
Some people criticize me and make me feel like I've done something wrong. I will easily forgive anyone that has disrespected me in any way.

How long can you be active on the server every day?

I can usually be on for about 2-4 hours every day.

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?

Sadly, I do not, but every opportunity I get when I see a moderator, I ask him or her for advice on how to excel myself in moderating.

This application is a very good start and I think you are going in the right direction. I have seen you active the past few weeks and that's pretty good also. I sugguest a few things to improve:

application & forums:

- elaborate more on why you would like to become a moderator
- start becoming active on the forums (no, not just commenting on forum games or off topic things), since you are fairly new, I suggest learning more about the server so you can inform others that ask about it which also means you can help out others here.

in-game:

- help others out in game, both in chat and 'physically' helping out noobs, or normal players in general c:
- keep your activity steady, it has been pretty good so far

Okay, thanks. I actually never saw you in game either, so it must just be timing; I saw you were on Pacific Time, and I'm on Eastern, so that might have something to do with it. I'd be glad to see why you give me no support; I'd like to change that quickly...

It's not bad to apply early, sourceforums applied as a new member but his application was on point and he was super active and helpful in the meanwhile. Only in some cases, applying early isn't too ideal.
