Well, Hello....

Just thought I'd go ahead and say hello to those that attend the forums here and introduce myself.
I'm Rhyx in game and have only been playing on Sky for about a week now. I'm a 32 year old stay at home dad of 3 beautiful daughters so I find myself playing a LOT of minecraft singleplayer. I figured I'd try out multi player online and so far i'm really enjoying the idea behind Skyblock. However, just building with cobble and using limited dirt to farm trees doesn't leave much imagination to material choices and design lol. I suppose in time that will change.

Being new here I don't have much to offer outside of maybe giving some building advice? However, please do get in touch with me in game even if it's just to say hello!

you can buy certain supplies in /warp shop, using grass, grass is obtained by voting for the server, do /vote in-game and you will find links, click the links then go vote for grass, you can also trade items for grass, and diamons, iron, gold, and pretty much anything, also i would start by getting god items, they're a huge help when starting, also they're about worth like 5 god items (not including tools) for 1 grass just depending on the person selling, don't bother wasting time with people who try to sell for outrageous prices, also if you have any donor100+ friends i would recommend asking them to god stuff for you, hope this helps

oh lol it doesn't take money there are plenty of donors who can god stuff for you, im sure you can just ask, also voting for grass is free, just trade in-game items

 

Well to be honest, I've been had a couple times already in game so I'm not all for asking people to help me out with godding my stuff at the moment.

On one occasion I was asked to join an island and well, spawn in a lava trap, another occasion, while utilizing the trade rooms on skybase, I tried to sell 10 god arrows i received from a "drop" party to someone, and they had glitched out of the room before paying. Fool me once, fool me twice. This is also another factor in why I'm apprehensive about donating.

I've been using the vote system for grass, but it takes so long to get a sizeable sum, oh well, I have time i guess. I'm just trying to work on building a platform in which to create my house, farms and such, it's going to take a lot of time due to my need for spawners and such, but, I've got time I suppose. My biggest goal right now is obtaining enough grass to buy saplings of each wood type so I can start my tree farms to have building options of various wood types.

However, I do appreciate everyone's eagerness to lend advice and possibly more on this forum, I can tell already that there is a more mature environment on here than in game, which is a good thing. I may seek you guys out here on the forums moreso as trying to keep up with the wall of text in the in game chat is a headache on it's own accord lol.
