Maximizing your island space (It's bigger than you thought!)

    Yes, 1 bedrock + 49 blocks out each way. That makes a 99x99 platform. 49+49+1 doesn't equal 100.

    yes it is 99, i miscalculated at the beginning in my picture but fixed it after falkanor's first post

    I have seen people leave there island for good and never back on either they built a new island or not play can we claim the area?

    I guess you could "claim" the area but placing or destroying blocks is griefing and is banable. Also if they were to make a new island their old one would disappear and become the default island.

    Umg Ty so much kerahna I was so freaking nervous about my island size!!! I had nightmares about this( actually day-mares I guess you can call it). I minimized my island soooo much for no reason now :t:dead:

    Because... 99x99x256 :D

    So here's my work:
    Height=256 (from bedrock to height limit)
    Width=99
    Depth=99

    You multiple 99 by 99 to get the 2D number of blocks you own, which is 9801.
    Then you multiply it by how far you can go up and down, which is 256.
    Then you get 2509056! :D

    You can place exactly 5018112 half slabs without going outside of your property. :D

    updated with more correct numbers, and externally hosted image so non-staff can see XD
    Remember your property is 49 blocks from your bedrock! Building outside of it is at your own risk and this guide only shows you how to avoid invading other players' 49 radius.

    This is useful, especially the part about unclaimed space that brings you over the 99x99. I did not know that :eek:
