Hello!

As SkyBlock becomes bigger and bigger, we need more people to help others around the game. Yes, we do have donors and HR/OL... but we also need mods to help us even more. I'll be tell you why my qualities are suitable for a job as a mod on SkyBlock.

As I know a lot of you dislike bright colors, just pretend the light orange/Skin color is yellow =^~^=

Here's a bit about me:

My name is Sophia, whilst my 'in-game' name or MineCraft name is xStarx.
I've been raised up in New Zealand and have been learning a lot about computer programming, how games work and lots more!
I attend intermediate in a great class with all my friends. I also do some after school activities such as horse riding and art class.

What languages do you speak?

English - I'm able to speak and type fluently in English.
French - I have been learning French and I'm able to say a few phrases, eg Hello, my name is, how are you? etc
Japanese - I am also learning Japanese too at school. I can speak slightly more than I am able to with French.
Maori - Growing up in New Zealand, learning Maori is one of the key things at school. I am not as confident or fluent with this language but I am able to speak a bit of it.
Mandarin - I'm slightly fluent as when I was younger I liked to learn Mandarin and even took classes.
Cantonese - Unlike Mandarin I'm not so confident with speaking this, nor typing this.


Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?)

I was once banned on .Net... Someone had made a false report on a few users including me. We did nothing wrong so we had gotten banned for a few days. I have not gotten banned on .Org yet and I'd like to keep it that way.

Why do you think you should be a mod?

I think that I am responsible and that I do have the qualities to be a mod and to help others. As I said at the start, SkyBlock is getting bigger and more popular so we do need more people to help.

I feel that I am ready for something as big as this and that I will keep my head high and continue to work. I have learnt so many things on SkyBlock, met so many friends, traded, cooped and have done so many things that... I'd like to do more!

Also, moderating would also be a great experience to help others and meet new friends and players. Learning all the new commands and how to respond to appeals or bans will teach me a lot.


What qualifications do you have?

Online- I'm active and online almost everyday for more than an hour. I have time to talk, to help, to trade and to do many things. I hardly ever go AFK which enables me to help and do more on SkyBlock as a mod.

Experience- Although I haven't been playing SkyBlock for so long I have gotten used to the forums, voting and the server itself. I wouldn't play anything on MineCraft apart from SkyBlock as it is so addicting and fun!

Leader- In my life I have taken many roles as a leader. Such as being a Peer Mediator, which is a person who goes around the playground who helps people to solve their problems. Such as bullying, injuries and other things. I have also been something called a 'Digi-Kid' which was like a program for people to enhance their computer skills and help their class as only specific people got chosen to join. I have a lot more leader roles currently too.

Last year, I was also an E-Councilor, something similar to Digi-kids. I am also apart of the broadcasting crew and sound and lighting crew, all based on using different technical equipment.

Caring- Without caring, SkyBlock would be a mess. I will care for people, help them when they are in need and guide them to happiness. ^~^

Risk Taker- I will take any risks to help other plays to solve their problems. Taking risks can be hard, but sometimes goodness comes out of it... Or, you could learn something new and teach others!

Respectful- Being respectful on SkyBlock is just what I can do! I will respect all players and what they say. I also don't curse/swear at people as it is disrespectful.

Friendly- I'm kind and friendly, I don't yell at people, beg or nag at people for items or to coop. I am happy to help and will offer the best solution I can!

Willing- I'm willing to help someone with any problem they have! Big or small I'll help in any way I can!

Patient- Users go on AFK quite often when you're trying to help them, but that's not a problem for me! I'll be patient and wait for them.

Honest- I do not lie as this does create some drama. Yes, I did die and loose a friend's diamonds... But of course, I told the truth.

Organised- I am very organised as I am in game and in the real world. I like to have my work at school nicely formatted out, set reminders for activities at school and have everything in the morning, ready to start school. As for in game, I like to file my chests, make time for friends, find a suitable time when to help someone and plenty more.

Fun- I'd have to say myself, I can be pretty fun to hang around. Weather it's a friend, donor, skygod or even just a random person, I would love to make them smile. Or even more, love SkyBlock even more.

Creative- Creative can mean many different things, such as being creative with drawing, music, dance and tons of other things. but on SkyBlock, being creative isn't just about building. It's about coming up with new ideas to help and solve someones issues or problems.

Helpful- I am very helpful, as I've mentions billions of times above, I will do what ever it takes to help someone with their problem! Scamming, bullying, swearing, bridging, grieving, I've pretty much got it all sorted in my little MineCraft hand.

Involved- I love to get involved with people. Such as trading with them, visiting their shop or island and even just a quick chat is great! Not only do you get to meet new people, but you also get to solve new problems and help new people!

Confident- I'm confident to help people, to solve problems... To do anything! Being confident is one of the keys to being successful. Without confidence, how would we solve problems?

Safe- I do not talk about anything inappropriate as I am aware that younger kids may be playing and/or reading the chat. I will not send any inappropriate links to others such as screamers or inappropriate images.

Reliable- You can always rely on me! Just because your a mod, doesn't mean everyone will rely on you. That's why you need to show them what you've got and help everyone! I'm able to handle big jobs and problems, if not I can always ask someone for help.

These are a few of the reasons why I think I should be a mod. Yes, I may make mistakes but I'll still keep helping!

How long can you be active on the server everyday?

During school weeks:

Monday- 1-3 hours
Tuesday- 1 hour
Wednesday- 1-3 hours
Thursday- 30mins to an hour
(As I have Horse Riding and I come home late)
Friday- 2-5 hours
Saturday- 3-7 hours
(I had art class in the morning and may be out for an hour after.
Sunday- 1-7 hours

In the holidays I will be able to go on as long as 1-7 hours. Whilst some days I might have school events I would try to come on for at least and hour or so.

How long have you been playing skyblock.org?

I have been playing for slightly more than 6 months and I am aware of the differences to .Net. Such as the warps, shops, auctions etc. I know how they work and am able to help others with that.
I am now very familiar to all the different commands. Such as /Auc Start, /Warp <Name>, etc. After the recent reset, I'm also aware of the changes, such as /visit and the change of prices on items.

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?

I don't have any experience, but I do have a taste of what to do as a moderator. (As I know a few) I may need help from other mods to learn the commands.

Half/half. Posting screenshots makes you seem like a wannabe, and including one or two of the times you help someone isn't important. I helped at least a hundred times. Do I post screenshots? No. We don't need proof you help. You seem new to the server, and I would like to see you work more. Staying neutral for now, but good luck.
