So I posted here already but I feel like posting again:

I dress popular-ish, my style is quite the "fit in with the crowd" look.
It's my personality, life choices, dislike of people, and views on different issues that separate me from everyone
Firstly, allow me to paint you a picture of the typical male and female in my county. I live in a rural town, where people typically called "hillbillies" or "rednecks" live.
Teenage boys in my county enjoy hunting, fishing, and football or baseball. Racism, sexism, and homophobia run wild. Camo is everyone's favorite color. Bacon is life. If you say the word "season", they ask "deer, turkey, or bear?".
Teenage girls in my county enjoy Ugg boots, Hollister, and Starbucks more than anything. They also partake in "redneck" festivities, and pride themselves on finding a "countray boyy". They're fake, wear a lot of makeup, and are willing to do anything. Yes, I mean it exactly the way you're thinking.

Of course, these are sterotypes, there are people who stray from the norm, like myself. I'm talking about the majority.
Now for me.
I'm vegan. I don't hunt or fish, or enjoy bacon. I don't have a country accent. In fact, the only "country" thing I enjoy doing is riding fourwheelers and dirtbikes. NOT mudding, mind you, just riding. (For those unfamiliar with these terms, mudding is driving monster trucks and other vehicles through mud, usually after consuming alcohol, for no good reason other than making a large mess). I don't play any sports, but I'm healthy. I hate Uggs (sheepskin), I don't waste mine or my parent's money on new clothes every week, and I'm low maintenance. I also have this little thing called respect for myself. The majority of my county is Republican, I'm leaning towards Democrat (can't vote, why I say leaning). I support gays, bisexuals, whatever orientation you are, I just see you as a human.

So of course, I want friends. I just don't want the people I'm surrounded with to be my friends.
I both want to be part of the group, and despise the group.
A dilemma indeed.
