New Rating: Support

I believe that a "Support" rating should be added for Staff Applications/Suggestions, this will remove the off-topic comments on applications, remove most of the rating abuse on the forum, due to people just rating it badly because they didn't get a support, and it makes it more organized than having a bunch of comments and reading through them, you can simply look at a number, the application, and then whether or not you decide to support. Now many of you are probably going to say it's a bad idea because then it removes suggestions, but really suggestions can be said anywhere, on somebody's wall, in a private conversation, over Skype, in-game, etc., so there's really no need for that, and if you're thinking it's too much work just for a few comments to be removed, it's really not, considering forum Moderators need to track down and fix rating abuse, and spam on applications is often less than wanted, so at the end of the day I think it's worth it, also, this would count as a neutral rating. Feel free to comment your thoughts.

No support. Just saying "support!" doesn't exactly count as real support. Cyp said that he wanted all of the 1-word "support" and "no support" comments to stop, and this is basically the same thing. He wants people to say why they are supporting/not supporting. So sorry, but I don't see him adding this anytime soon.

If you can't tell why people support the person, then you obviously have no reason to support them, so I don't see a point in commenting something just so others can read it and pretend they've seen the player for themselves, I understand some people actually do give opinions, but most of it turns into spam, and if people say something without meaning it, there's no point in making the comment at all.

 

Talk to Cyp about that then.

 

Half support. I would full support if there will be a no-support button to tell the no-supporters from supporters

 

I said in my post that it was a neutral rating, I completely agree, but I do think it would be a bit more helpful just to add the rating, after all, if there's a poll people feel the need to comment, and commenting leads to spamming, and spamming leads to a bunch of warnings that could be avoided.

 

I assume that's why he made a suggestion thread..

 

I've actually brought this up with Cypriot, but obviously Staff have a greater chance of seeing this and bringing it up with him.

I don't see why this should be added, it's not that hard to type 'support' so why do we need a rating to do it?
