That isn't saving the economy, that's creating a new one. badpeteno wants to save the economy, but with what we already have, and adding more to it.

The question is: Is it even worth saving? If we have another reset they could set new rules about auto farms.

Noobcrew has already assured us over a year ago that the reset that occured back then would be the last one.

Incorrect. It would mean that people actually have to work for their money again. That is the issue that auto farms brought to the server, is that it became too easy to get money with farms that worked themselves. Soon as someone had enough iron and grass, actually having to do anything to make money stopped.

Auto farms kind of ruined the server :/ I loved Skyblock.org when i first joined (December 2012) because you had to earn your money. i literally saved for 3 months just to get 4k for a spawner.. And looking at the stats, i lot of people agree with me. at that time, there was a constant rate of about 250 people on the server and there was a good community. Auto farms have wiped out that good community and defeated the purpose of 'A challenge' which people on skyblock are looking for :/ I think a reset would be a really good idea at this time. It may draw out some of the players that have a lot now, but i think it would be better in the long run?

Frankly, minecraft will always provide me a method to become rich as long as there is any kind of trade. I could cope with a reset. The only way crew or cyp can stop me from being rich is to ban me or shut down the server. And if not me, others. I'm not alone, for the record. I'm just the only one discussing it.

I'll be poor anyways so a restart wouldnt matter. But even withoit autofarms, people can still find a way to farm money. One way or another

Restarting the whole server would completely ruin the point of skyblock so far. People would get angry, then they leave, then Cyp and Crew lose money and, eventually, the server will completely corrupt.

With the current state of skyblock.org, it is gaining about 200-300 new players a day. it wouldn't just die out like that

I really hope they make a new adminshop and legalize the trading of sand and glass etc. because then island farming problems would reduce, and the economy could be stable like he said.

    Just to refocus the thread:

    Premise:
Given: OP Autofarms create currency and inflate the economy.
Result: Too much currency devalues the skybuck (which discourages votes and creates other problems)
Solution: Add redsand to the donor shop, make sand uncookable and sandstone uncraftable, effectively legalizing glass and cactus farms. This will give an exit for excess currency and stabilize the skybuck.

    Support or no?

Lots of people are talking about it, but we could use a string of 'support' posts to really drive this home.
