Edit: Misread question, buying ranks is perfectly fine, but selling for actual money is illegal.

Ive talked to some mods about this and they all said it wasn't illegal.. even a smod got there alt upgraded xD so unless they broke the rules, Its not illegal to upgrade for Ign money. I think to what cyps referring too is the "Buying items for Paypal money" so yea its not illegal.. I'll make a thread on this kids are so confused

 

That's it! I knew I heard Cyp or Crew somewhere quote that trading ranks is not illegal. But then as I made a thread about it everyone told me it was illegal, so I had no choice but to believe them
