• Why do you think you should be unbanned? there is no list of illegal to own items, and the item i received was never said to be illegal although i thought it wasn't a 100% legit item. If this type of item is illegal, it should be noted either in the rules post by cyp or in a supplemental post in his thread.

Edit it again and I'll give you a forums ban, reverting a staff member's edit is against the rules.

You tried to hide them at dewmellon's island, but were found anyway.
You wouldn't have tried to hide them if you knew they were illegal.

As far as hiding them, i keep rares at multiple locations to prevent potentially loosing all my items to looting.

Reference point being recent cases of hopper looting and hopper minecart looting with no logs.

 

You can just put a chest underneath it and it can't get hopper looted.
This was clearly to hide them

You were definitely hiding them, you and I both know that.

 

Ender, as I told you on teamspeak. I will not discuss the other lesser known methods of looting chests, and without proof of otherwise the benefit of the doubt is supposed to be given to the appealing user.

I maintain multiple locations of rares which is what I was under the impression this book was. As there is no rules or regulations that are publicly listed stating this item is Restricted or Illegal.

As such this ban should be lifted and appeal accepted.

Moving forward any future breaches of this new rule Should warrant a severe punishment. Once it is inserted into the official rules post by cypriotmerks.

Shark you knew they were illegal, come on you did. I don't know much about you but you're a pretty smart person, it would be obvious that a book, that lets you get around 30,000 items per kill would be illegal. You were also the only non-staff to have them at this point. It would be so obvious you wouldn't be allowed them. Especially as they were distributed to you by Kurai.

 

You have no evidence of that ender, you can not enforce a rule based on what is thought.

Hence why there is an evidenciary requirement.

No Evidence of a rule being broken = no rule broken = no reason for a ban.

How I acquired said item is not a part of this appeal. This appeal is soley based on the fact there is no public rule regarding god books or items with enchantment levels higher than normal being illegal to own or sell.

I would love for a S. Mod or better to comment on this matter. As i believe my understanding of the rules is correct.

 

The rule, as we've talked through a couple of times, is that it was absolutely forbidden for Mods to give them out.
It was a really horrible thing to find non-staff with the books, however, I do not recall a rule being established about normal players owning them.

Although he does not have an official statement of this precise case, it would be a good idea to work with him. Perhaps not in public, but in PM's. Owning one of those items is a gray zone in the rules, but it most certainly is not a good thing, if caught with it.

 

Okay, my final decision is that if you willing to cooperate with us to discuss the source of the books, who they may have been passed to etc. on skype or something then I will be willing to unban you, as it seems they have been passed around.

 

I have no problems with discussing this.
