What is the point of all of these favorite moderator threads. Honestly, it is getting very annoying. There is NO point to them, other than to maybe get on the good side of a moderator. It hurts mods feelings that don't get picked. All moderators are good, they have their different style of moderating. If we weren't capable of moderating, Cyp would have taken our ranks away a while ago Sorry if this came off as rude, it just has needed to get out there as so many of these threads are popping out.
Thanks Andrew for making this I do think all these threads about this is nonsense. It is fine to have a favorite mod, but competitions is just useless and a waste of time.
Personally, the favourite mod threads make a little uncomfortable. When I post in them, I say that I can't choose and it's true. All the mods I've had the pleasure of talking to are absolutely wonderful people and all the mods do their job well. It can hurt feelings and it's simply not fair. The mods who are online when org is quiet are just as amazing as the mods that are online when it's busy, but they won't get the attention, because a lot of people don't see them being awesome. Not too mention those who have gotten in trouble with a mod aren't likely to pick them as a favourite, so now we're pushing that doing their job is a bad thing? At least, that's the way I see it. >.> Picking favourites always leaves someone out and always leaves someone hurt. It's why parents shouldn't pick favourite children and you shouldn't pick favourite friends. And why I won't pick a favourite mod. I love them all, for different reasons. I mean freedom of speech and everything, but why risk hurting feelings when you don't have to?
Mostly the "favourite" mod is the mod that didn't ban you, or is your friend, or refunded you on something. I agree these threads need to go!
You can have your opinion, but you shouldn't force others to abide by it too. I mean don't lock the thread just because you think it's stupid or dumb.
I think the threads serve little purpose and have the potential to hurt other mods feelings, but at the end of the day, what's the point of becoming upset because you dont happen to be someone's favourite? Example, I will still do my job if a player says their fave is iPod not me. Sure this will obviously leave out a lot of mods, but people are just saying which mod they like for various reasons: personality, helped them, gave them something, friendship. Any mod who feels bad should realise that to have been promoted from tmod means you did your job well and are continuing to do an amazing job. And Tmods should know they work really hard to get to the next level. So let people post how they feel. As long as its not abusive it's ok. People can't accept others opinions anymore. =.= Are people seriously going to care what people across the world say on the internet? If you get sad over these threads, you probably shouldn't be a moderator, because in a way it's feedback.
