Hello, as you may know that when a new player joins, they are automatically put into local chat. With this, it makes it look as if the server is dead, as noone is talking. I suggest putting a sign at spawn saying 'Do /chat to get to global chat!' Thanks.
i totally support this but id like to see new guys automatically put into global chat just because not all new people look at signs and i know that they should but theres no way of forcing them to look at the signs and at least when its on global they can ask everyone how to get into local. Catch my meaning? so I support but would like to make this addition
This custom plugin, I believe in the config, he has it set so they join in Local. I think Merks wants them to be in Local.
Ok but RROD made it just for skyblock and I doubt he would make a config. He would just edit the code if he was still a dev.
RRod was smart, correct? He would think about the future. If he "Edited" the code, he would need to make a updated version of the plugin. If he was smart, he would have made a config. If he didn't, then I support the idea.
There's a reason people are put into local when they join. To make it so not every member sees the advertiser.
Oh, so that is why the server seemed dead to me when I first joined! I found no where easy to find where it says you start in local chat. I support.
As someone who was stuck in local for the first while, so much support. XD Also, when you first hop on the server you get a message about "To start a new island do /newisland" would it be possible to add another message like "To switch between global and local do /chat".
Omg so much support this is why many people don't stay for long in my opinion...this needs to be fixed
