Before I start I understand than all mods cannot be on at ALL times.

So earlier today a lot of people were complaining that people were advertising them in /msg. There was no mods on at that time. But this usually always happens when no mods are online more crime goes on. I know some people were recently upgraded up to tmod they have a strong presence (Krissy, Ender, iPod) But they wern' t on. I am going to suggest that maybe Noobcrew and cyp or some of the SMods make a schedule. I know this may not be possible, but I just want to make sure there is a staff member on most of the time.
    Thanks

The number of American and European moderators heavily outweigh the Australian New Zealand moderators. It can't be helped unless more Australian or NZ mods are recruited.

I know this is aggravating, but their are always Mod's on the forums so make a report or just simply send one of them a message ;)

You have to take into consideration that mods do other stuff outside of skyblock; school, work etc.

It's a good idea, but it may be taking it a little too far. As known, this is just an online game. Of course to some, it's more than that. However, it's not a job (as in career). Having a schedule of when certain mods can play is a little unfair.
This is why we have a "Report" section, in case mods aren't online. Not to mention a mod/player may not be able to be on everyday at a certain time.

Hmm, i understand what you mean, however like stated before people have commitments to attend outside of school. However, this is sort of similar: I would think it a good idea, if (I know cyp does already quite often) both cyp and crew were to spend, even just an hour each week where they just talk to players. This would be a good idea because it could help iron out any concerns people have with the server.

    Just thinking aloud :p

Certain times cannot be forced, or fixed into place, for each moderator. Each has a life of their own outside of Minecraft, and each has a timezone that may vary from one-another.
As Portgas D. Ace mentioned, the only way to 'solve' this problem is to have more moderators in the lacking time zones (i.e. New Zealand/Australia), though there are already 64 moderators (not counting Cypriot or Crew) in total.

There might be 64 Mods, but most of them are barely on, the number of active, helpful mods can be counted on the fingers on my hand.

If its something as strong as advertising, you don't even need a mod on.
Most advertisers join, say an IP once or twice and leave the server for good.
Take the screenshot then report it, say with this instance.

    Im online.
    Player joins the server.
Says an IP in chat once.
I ban after they've said it.

    Now this instance.
    Im not online.
    Player joins the server.
Says an IP in chat once.
    They leave.

If they spam it, it won't stop obviously but with that instance it doesn't even make a difference.
To the original point, it would be good to have it moderated 24/7 but realistically without promoting a ton of mods it isn't really possible.

To my rant thread on my views on this server
    I understand that mods have a life(Taylor1211 you don't (; )
However a ton of mods have resigned for, many obvious reasons, I dare not go dive into it however, a few of those mods were on the schedule that we needed.(To my knowledge). There goes many times where I am on and no mods, at least unvanished, are on. I see many spammers, scammers, reports of griefing, and etc in the chat. Now many of these players are ignorant that we own a forums--So there is going to be no solution for them. After that while, the players quit. I know back in my first 2 months on the server, I got griefed and I quit for a month as I couldn't recieve any help(I was unaware there was forums).
Much to the greater point, for the reason staff gets demoted, or resigned, I feel that is a message to the greater staff team. Don't hate on my for voicing my opinion--as this is all a matter of what I've seen and heard. I feel this is a message to better "care" about them? I mean, I know I'm not up there-or them- so I can't say how I feel, but I can say from what I've seen, It isn't the best.

I can dispute the fact im active anymore since a lot of people keep telling me that i am, but im one t-mod and at times i have to deal with a server of over 300 alone. I love the fact I can finally help in the times the europe mods are at school/work and the american mods are asleep and im having a great afternoon.
Basically the number of active mods, compared the active players is scary. And the only thing we can do, since a schedule cannot work due to several factors regarding s-mods, is to remember certain things:
    1. Players can help make a report for someone who doesnt know how. If they say help, ask them what with, and if its something you can handle, help make a report for the player.
    2. when someone spams the best thing you can do is to take a screen, then /ignore. with spam of tp requests or coop invites, just leave the server for a minute and come back so they wont try again. screens are important
    3. Be responsible. If there is a fight, dont pick sides. Dont gang up on one player. just try and get them to either /ignore each other or take it to msg.
Basically, out of the mods, the smods have the most work to do, and it would be unfair to expect them to work on schedules especially because they are players also.

I don't think i can make a schedule, though I do spend a large chunk of my spare time here. Due to the nature of my work, my availability and consistency change every month. This month for example, I'm working in the ER so I do really weird shifts that are sometimes daytime, sometimes overnight, and sleep weird hours too.

Yes, skyblock.net is under-moderated. However you can't just make mods have schedules, we don't get paid.
We still have to use our time for other things; School, Work, friends, relationships, other free time.

Also a schedule would cause problems. It would be inevitable for some mods to not show up at their allocated times, sure, 1 or 2 times can slide. But if it happens too much what would Crew/Merks do? Demote them? But then too many staff would be demoted, thus the issue for lack of moderation is still there.
