Yes, for griefing, But I realize what I did was wrong and have learned from my mistake. I also feel that you should not penalize me for this, because everyone makes mistakes. And this was one of my mistakes. But I can assure you that I learned from it and I hope you see that and move past it. Thank you. Why do you think you should be a mod? I feel like I should be mod because I love helping people, and am great at it! I LOVE to answer questions and I enjoy helping others on servers. I feel like I can do a good job and contribute to this growing, vast community. As the server becomes more popular, you need more staff! I promise to do my best and I WILL get the job done quickly, and I will do it right! I also feel I should be mod because I love this server and I have played on it for a long time. I have been a part of this community for a while so I feel I can do the job correctly and it will be faster for me since I already know the secrets of the server. That can help me at doing the hoc quicker and more efficiently than other less experienced community members. I am very organized, and can manage my time very well. I keep a daily log of my events and to do lists. I am capable of making sure that once I commit to something, I do not forget about it and miss my event. I am always on my game, and will get the job done right. I also feel I am capable of doing things other people couldn't do, such as the coordination wise and ability to multi task. Many people can do this but not everyone can. I feel this skill set is a great one to have in a staff position. I would be able to manage chat, and work with people when they need help. I know I cannot be in the same place at once, but I hope if I do get mod, that when I'm helping someone, they have the patience to wait there turn. I also had the idea that if I become a mod, I would keep a separate log on my computer, of who I helped and what I helped them with. Yes I know there is log block, but this could help me manage my time. For example if I am helping Person A, and person B messages me saying they need help, I would write player B's name on my log so I remember that I need to help them next. This way I will not forget whom I was supposed to help. I know what you're thinking, why not just scroll up in chat? Well that’s simple! Sky block chat gets so busy during the day. People asking for help would just disappear! That’s not good! So I think my method of organization would take a little bit more work, but hey, if you're going to do something, do it right! One last reason I feel I should be mod is for my mindset. Even though I am not staff on the server, I enjoy helping people, asking if people need help, or if anyone has a question, I am glad to answer them. I also feel that since I have playing on the server for a year now, (1 Year on exactly on March 20th) I think I can help more. Since I know the rules, I am able to monitor chat, and report those people who disobey server rules. I currently am on every day, and play for a few hours every night. I am usually always on around 7:00 p.m. Hawaii Time. There are usually 100-150 players on and no staff! Just the other night, there were 2 people spamming who refused to stop after constant warnings from not only me but also 2-3 other players. Since there was no staff on, there was nothing we could do but report them! (I did report them and the case was taken care of) I feel that adding me to the staff list will help the server, and not hurt it. I think I would be a great addition and can make sure that there are mods on 24/7. I also can promise I won't be a mod that will be AFK all the time, but I will work hard, and do my very best. Here are some traits I think can help me a good and qualified mod: - Caring: capable of caring for people when they are going through rough things, no one enjoys being scammed or greifed, but I am caring and can handle those types of situatons! - Honest: I try my best to stay humble, and modest. I will own up to any of my mistakes and will learn from them. I know that everyone makes mistakes, and I will always take that into consideration. - Observant: I am able to monitor chat easily, I am capable of watching chat while doing other things, and I am capable of doing more than one thing at a time, with excellence in both! - Critical thinker, I am able to make wise decisions with the mind set of the best for the server. I know I can make things great if given the chance to show my skills. - Split second thinker: I am capable of making split second decisions, if I come across a tough decision, I can make up my mind very quickly. - Capable of commitment: I am more than qualified when it comes to commitment. I am able to make a promise and follow through; I hate it when people flake out. That does not work with me. - Ability to stay patient: don’t you hate it when a noob asks you, how do I make a dirt block? Yes, we’ve all had these tough encounters, but I am able to make sure I stay patient with the person and explain the answer even if it is a simple answer. I understand that some people are slower than others at learning things and I can relate to that. I was never the smartest in my class, am I still am not the smartest in any of my classes. But I work hard and I strive for excellence. - Maturity: even though I am 13, I am very mature. My family always says to me “13 going on 71!” because I act like an adult! I don’t enjoy being treated like a kid, and I enjoy when people give me respect. I also feel that with people respecting me, I will respect you back. If you choose to tear me down and pull apart my feelings, don’t expect me to respect you as a person, I will put on the happy face and act like everything is okay but on the inside, I will have NO respect for you. - Reliable and trustworthy: I am more than capable of being that person you can count on. Even if the job is tough and I don’t know how to do it, I am positive I can get it done. I know that problem solving is key and I can guarantee that I am telling the truth. Even for this mod app, I am telling the truth. 1000% honest. - Capability to Receive Constructive criticism: When I am given feedback, I am capable of handling it, And using that feedback to help me to better myself. I am capable of making sure that when I am in a tough situation that I can find a way out of it, as well as making sure that the problem is solved. - Mindset to always be the "bigger person" : If, I ever get caught into a sticky situation where someone is going to be at fault, I can make sure that I stop for a minute, and relax and become the bigger person. I feel this trait is great to have because when moderating, Being mature and focused will help you to not becoming overwhelmed. (15 Hours) SUNDAY: 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 P.M. (14 Hours) Do you have any past experience as a moderator? Yes, I have been moderator before. I have owned 3 servers, and am in the process of developing my 3rd server, which is going to be a hub mini game server. With owning servers, I know how to use server commands and I know how to work well with server players. I am great in plug-in commands. And helping people. I am familiar with many plugins that many servers have. I know what you're thinking, "Oh my, with a server, how will he manage this server!" Simple! I am not alone on my server. I have 2 other co-owners and 7 Staff members. They are more active than me, and I am more of a developer on the server. I am the guy they call when there is plugin help needed, or server mechanics I need to take a look at. That trait can very well help me on Skyblock. (Ex. Logblock, Essentials, World Edit. etc.) I also have applied for mod on sky block before as well! I didn't get the position the first time or the second time, but hopefully third time is a charm! This does not fit in with moderator background, but I do have a lot of real life experiences in my community as well as a student. I participate in my school band, which we perform across the state of Hawaii to perform for other schools, and spread the cause about music. I invest a lot of extra time into that and understand what its like to devote effort. Also, as a science class, I go out in to our community to participate in beach clean ups and hiking trail/stream clean ups and restorations. I think this volunteer work is a very good trait to have and i certainly enjoy it! I love making a difference and I love helping people. Its just in my coding!
