Ok, you know in late 2013, there was a special enchanting warp? The walls were made of coal blocks.

I think maybe for a couple days, for some holiday, there should be a /warp repair. I understand there is no way to prevent anvils from breaking, but couldn't you have a command block spawn a new one as soon as it breaks? I am positive this is possible, even with my lack of command block knowledge.

    Post your opinions below!

I believe commands blocks are disabled on the server... they did not work at /warp newspawn before it was removed.

They can re-enable command blocks, and yes, they could replace the anvill. But the amount of work that it would take just wouldn't be worth it. I like the idea, but the amount of work to implement it just cancels out its usefulness.

Just 5 command codes, and that's it.

you would have a command block issuing a /testforblock anvil X Y Z, and a comparator that activates when there is, setting a redstone torch off, the torches signal leading to a command block woth /setblock anvil X Y Z

Or you could just have a 5 minute clock witch places a anvil every 5 minutes.

One issue... without a plugin that makes it so command blocks only work in some areas, someone can hack, get a command block, and just mess up everything.

you can only edit command blocks if you are a opped player in creative mode.

Ok, but a clock will be needed to update the command block, which can lag.

What about on Low Performance computers? I lagged so hard with one clock on my lower end computer.

i guess so. but all this basically just backs up my first point, this is just a lot of work and issues for very little reward.

Command blocks wouldn't work even if they were enabled. Bukkit gets rid of awesome commands like testfor, setblock, and summon.

Maybe it's essentials that stops it, not 100% sure about summon. Either way you need testfor for it to work.

Well, you could have a room created with anvil walls and floor, a few anvils thick, with any block material on the outside to prevent it all from falling downwards. Not as neat and clean maybe, but effective.

well it kinda kills the idea of buying and selling an anvil. and /repair for us 50 + donors. even if its for a limited time, i dont think its warp worth making. sorry tk.

I'd have to agree. I mean, while the idea is completely possible and useful, it would lower the value of anvil and make less people willing to get the /repair command.

Yep, I just wanted it to name mass amounts of pie, and it's not for /repair, it's to name items...
