Just about EVERY random person that decides to check these forums out think they are worthy of applying for a mod position? Or at least it seems like it. Just my opinion...but wouldn't having a list of requirements before applying for mod not only cause less junk on the "Mod App" section, but also save us from having to read at all the horrible attempts/reasons of why people think they "deserve" a mod position?

I mean.. Just go take a peek at the mod app section. It's completely cluttered with trash applications from random nobodies. Why? There's no need.

Maybe a small "3 month of playtime" requirement? Meaning the applying person would have to have at least 3 months of playing time on the server before being able to post a mod app. Or perhaps a "3-mod vouch" rule, in which only people who have received vouches from other staff members can apply for mod? I mean, clearly who better than to judge on a persons character or behavior than someone who plays with that person in-game? Maybe even a "certain age limit" rule. Which to me seems like the most crucial suggestion of the 3.

Any anyone else who hasn't met these requirements' app would me immediately discarded. That is what there are "Forum" specific staff members for right?

This is just a suggestion. But I think this might filter out a lot of the trash applications that are made.

    Thank you for reading.

I don't cough like the age thing, mostly beacuse I am only 13 years old, but the rest looks good though

I really agree on this post, but I think there should be an age limit to 10/12...
I'm 15 years old, and I really think I'm mature enouch to be a mod.

Age has almost nothing to do with maturity. I know way too many people who call themselves "adults" when they have the maturity level which should be appropriated to a preschooler. Try not to bias based on that. Matilda is like the most mature one of all the staff (I already stated this before) and she's only 14, while the rest of the staff go up to mid 20's. Don't be prejudging.

    Ya punk.

I wanted to add something to my op regarding the obvious "age doesn't define maturity" issue. But I assumed it would be clear that that point is set in stone. Thing is, when you see 9 year olds.. 10 year olds.. applying for a moderator position. It seems ludicrous. At least to me.

If they are precocious geniuses then it isn't ridiculous to me.

IF. Big "if" in my honest opinon.
And if they are dedicated enough to wait for the playing time requirement, their "genius" would or should be experienced by others on the server. Especially mods. Hence the 3 vouch mod rule.

Or do you disagree to this as well?

Last time I checked.. there was about 200k (might be 20k, my mind is blanking) people who have joined the server.. about 6,000 of them that are banned. My numbers may be wrong, but out of those 6,000.. how many do you think didn't make a mod app?
Now out of those 200k (or 20k) how many actually play the server on the regular, enough to actually deserve the chance of being a moderator? How many of those do you think made a mod app?

Sorry bud. But many of those are nobodies. People without faces.. as far as the server is concerned.

I speak only my opinion and mine alone. Not the server's or staff members. So I may be wrong. But it's an opinion, so who is to say who it is right or wrong?

Don't take offense to a fact. It's merely a fact. Nothing to get rustled about.
