Moderator Application Form

A little bit about me : Hi, my name is Alex and i'm 14 and live in Australia. I've owned Minecraft since Beta 1.6 and fell in love with it ever since I purchased the game. I played for 2 years then had a break. I came back to playing it in late 2013, I was trying to find some enticing servers to play on. Then I stumbled across Skyblock.net. I logged on and had no clue what I was doing. I asked for help on how to make an island (didn't read the signs right in front of me ) and a Moderator almost instantaniously answered my question. From then on I aspired to be more like moderators. Helping people and just being a good person in general.

What timezone are you in? (AEST) Sydney, New South wales, Australia

What languages do you speak? I speak English and a bit of french from school.

Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?) Yes I have been previously banned before for griefing. I was expanding my island and saw an island in the distance. Being ignorant, I decided to travel to this island and take some dirt. I was caught, banned then unbanned. I have learned from my mistake and have also felt the fury of being griefed.
Why do you think you should be a mod? I would like the opportunity to become mod for the same reasons most people do. To help. I would like to serve Skyblock.net under the name of moderator. I can contribute in a positive manner to the server that would benefit all. I also have many traits that reflect the qualities of an efficient moderator.
Typer: I can type quickly to keep up with the ever-changing chat on .net.
Communicator: My ambition is to help and solve as many problems as I can. Being able to talk and communicate to the victim of a greif, etc is an essential ability in solving their issue.
Problem Solver: When I solve a problem or answer a question I get a bit of a buzz . And it's human nature to want to help people. No one wants to see someone in distress spamming the chat. I am knowledgable about most affairs on the server and can work to the best of my ability to solve them.
Honest: I think of myself as an honest person. I don't see the point distrust and deceit, neither of them have no room on this server.
Respect: I respect all players no matter what age they are. As long as they're respectful and bearable I think we would get along just fine .
Level headed: I'm a pretty calm person. I don't jump to conclusions or act irrationally.
Social: Minecraft is a good place to chill with the accepting people of the internet so where better to chill than Skyblock . I have many friends all of who i
Architect: If I were to summarise minecraft into one word in my opinion, it would be 'build'. My absolute favourite thing in minecraft is the building and range of creativity which I can freely express on the skyblock server on my island. I receive compliments from all who visit my island xD.
Active: This is an important one. Whenever i'm online there is rarely ever any mods because of the lack of Moderator-Timezone-Diversity, Like every other app, I wish to fill that gap and be one of the few Aussie mods (Aussie = Australian) . I consider myself as active as a 14 year old in school can be. I am now in year 9 of school so "duty calls" when it needs to. I'm active a lot of the time now-a-days. Day and night people know me .
Responsible: I am a responsible person but I feel that the length of my responsibility hasn't been fully tested on the server yet. I've never scammed or stolen from anyone ever.
Articulate: I have been told that I am quite articulate for my age by numerous people and have higher intellect then most of my age.
Kind: I think of myself as a kind person who would listen to your problems and try to solve to the best of my ability with a smile
Open: I'm as open as a book. I love listening through peoples days and whats wrong in their lives. I'm always happy to talk.

How long can you be active on the server everyday? Here is my schedule as follows

Monday - I can be on from 5:00pm till 7:30pm-8:00pm

Tuesday - I can be on from 5:00pm till 7:30pm-9:00pm

Wednesday - I can be on from 5:00pm till 7:30pm-9:00pm

Thursday - I can be on from 4:20pm till 8:00pm

Friday - I can be on from 5:00pm till 11:00pm

Saturday - Pretty much any time

Sunday - Pretty much any time

Holidays - Quite a lot
All times are flexible and can be changed if need be.
Do you have any past experience as a moderator? I do not have any past experiences as a moderator but as an admin on my friends private server. I stayed true to my duties and stuck with the server till the day it died. I am experienced with Bukkit plugins and am very competent with Minecraft in general.

Bulk it up? I answered all the questions from noobcrews template and soz about the colours

 

The accidental grief was that I mined some dirt from a nearby uninhabited island. I had a visitor on my island and she must have seen me and got the wrong idea and reported me.

I will not support for these reasons. 1. I was asked to support this and when I said, "I will not supported because I know you griefed" I got a reply with an excuse of "the island was abandoned" 2. I was the one that reported smousehouse1 for griefing.

 

Ok if that's what you feel is right then I don't mind

 

I will give you 50% support, as you seem pretty nice, as I've talked to you in game. (Also you are a one piece fan, like me )But I think you ought to stay here longer, to learn a few more things.
Ie: griefing an uninhabited island still counts as griefing.
Also you asked what the lazer on my island was for, and I think a mod should know what a beacon is...

 

I totally agree. About the beacon though. I had a break from mc for about 1/5 years and a lot of new stuff was implemented into the game so thats why I didn't know what it was.

 

Ok lol, maybe read over some of the update notes, or try out sone of the new blocks in single player creative.
