Denied Mod apps...

Hey, I was just thinking about how new members on the forums often make a mod app before doing anything else, and their apps, quite frankly, suck. Also I noticed one user make a app, and when I asked him to add more detail he created a completely new app, showing he had never even read the rules. All these players are doing is ruining their own chances and annoying people who have put hard work into their apps. I think there needs to be a restriction on who can post in the mod apps section, like only members who have been playing for a week? I also think that the guide to a good mod app should be placed at the top of the page so everyone can see it. (ill find it and post it below) Other than that I hope someone can help fix this problem

I sorta support this but in my opinion, even if someone has an incredible amount of support, it's a bit bias since Cyp is the only one that promotes and demotes. *correct me if I'm wrong* If you get into his bad books, no matter how nice or helpful you are in game, he'll most likely ignore your app. If you haven't realised, nearly all the players that have been promoted to TMOD are friends with Cyp. They are also the players where Cyp would actually talk to and not ignore.
I think that the whole admin team should decide whether a player should be accepted, not just one. It should be a group decision.

It's incredibly detailed and should help stop new players making apps without thinking about them first.

 

If cyp is the only one who decides who becomes a mod I support this. But it does seem a bit odd that it is only decided by one person.

Btw i have never have spoke to cyp i talk to him as much as the adverage player does, which is hardly ever.

You don't make a forum then restrict people from using parts of it. It's just annoying as hell not being able to do stuff that you want to do right away. I've learned it through past experience.

 

But at least we can put the guide at the top, so greenbeans can at least have a chance.

 

They are at the top. And, hey, if they can't read it that's their fault. You can't force someone to read a thread.

 

But there is no real guide. All there is is some rules and the template, so we get green-beans who will out the template with 1 line answers and expect to get mod. If we had a detailed guide it would really help them.

 

You know greenbeans arent stupid, they arent some kind of dumb animal as you describe them, you know the only reason why greenbeans can seem like this is because there are some bad ones, that does not mean they are all stupid. Yes, some only reply with one question but sometimes they do actually try like donors, donors get the same chance as greenbeans. They are treated as equals so dont judge them xD

Anyway, I have to agree with this.
"Oh they have a green name... They're stupid" Lol no.
Also, some may be about 6-9 year olds. They won't have the best grammar or spelling sometimes.
Some people are just a bit lazy to hit shift/puncuation.
Can't really say anyone is stupid... Without actually talking to them.

You can't say they're stupid right off the bat if they're 6-9.
Just remember. We've all been greenbeans before. We've all been 6. Don't act like you haven't... Because you have.
Don't go around describing people as animals beats are some dumb Zoo Gorillas. They're (Most likely) Human, and you're (Most likely) Human as well.

I hate ppl who call them stupid, like you said everyone was one at the start. I more prefer greenbeens over donors lol at least they respect others reguardless if they are donors or not. What annoys me is how they are seen by donors who have way too much money to throw around, that they only want to be popular.

Also, they may be from Africa for all you know... They may not know your Native Language.
I honeslty do not like some donors. I was a greenbean and I offered thema trade and this happened.
Donor: No, you'll just scam me.
Donor: (In public.) BUYING (Puts my offer here) DONORS ONLY
Me: ...
And After I got Moderator, they try and get on my good side. Lol.

 

I know how you felt for a bit, when i was a defualt player the first donor to ever pay attention to me was beezer, is was hard trading/selling stuff.

I think Cube was the first person to speak to me... For me accidentaly losing my bucket... Lousy Stone gens.
And when I was helping someone with a question. A donor who hated Greenies. Said to stop helping people. You're a greeny, you'll never succeed.
My reponse to any of those is, "You were once a Greeny. Don't treat them like their evil. I would use worse vocabulary.
Let's just put it as, don't be a jerk.
