I have a problem with expanding my island

I want to expand my island to a 100x100 block but i ran into a problem...on 2 sides of my island there are 2 other islands and it doesn't look like anyone is using them is it possible to remove them from there so i can expand without breaking the rules?

i already have all the cobble i need to extend my island from mining it in my generator...over 10000 cobblestone
now im just waiting to be able to build in those 2 directions...im building in the direction there are no islands right now

 

The best thing I can suggest is contact a Mod in game, and have them let you know your exact limits on your area.

 

Unfortunately the limit for an island is 50 blocks in either direction from your bedrock. Any blocks after this can be deleted if any of the other islands were to /newisland replace.

The best thing to do after this limit is to build above and below your island to keep your stuff safe from been deleted.

I've heard tat you're allowed to build as far as you want so long as you don't lay a finger on any other islands, so if the island is inactive and not expanding, then shouldn't he be able to build up to it without touching it? I mean, it would be in danger of grief if someone did inhabit the island, but he would be allowed to, right?

well, within one block would still be a bit risky... I keep mine a good 20 away because otherwise the island looks too vulnerable and tempting... Also, if there was a guy on that island, theyd just hop over and loot you

Ur best to ask a mod this one but be warned just because the island looks inactive now doesn't mean it will stay inactive.
If they start expanding they are well within there right to ask you to delete anything more than 50 blocks of there bedrock and if you refuse or ignore them and they /newisland replace you will loose everything within 50 blocks of there bedrock.
I personally would stick with the 50 block limit just to make sure my island stays safe and I don't loose anything.

50 is the area personally given to you, but it's fine if you go past that, you just can't touch any other islands... At least that's what I've been told.

 

If that user returns and decides to restart their island, anything over lapping into the area will be deleted with ZERO chance of re compensation. We would prefer that you stay within your own area, but should you choose to build beyond it you do so at your own risk. Mods also reserve the right to believe you are bridging within that distance and may take disciplinary actions against you.

 

Well, obviously if it's one straight path , then it'll be considered a bridge, but building giant things one step at a time is not bridging

 

Anything beyond your area is considered bridging as you are invading another islands given space. Thus you have bridged to their "potential" island. You decrease their island area should they decide to return and build out a bit you'd cry that they were bridging, but in fact it is you who would be at fault. Your area should be 99x99, 49 blocks in each direction from your bedrock + the bedrock makes 99. I do hope you heed the warning.

 

Well, it's not bridging if it's not a bridge... if it's just expanding your island and you don't touch them then its okay... i mean, if they ask you to move back because they wanna expand, sure, but they cant just report you for expanding...

 

You could also build another huge area under your island with the 200 given blocks
