Hello, s4vvyos. Thank you for taking the time to submit an appeal. Prior to the initial mute, you were verbally warned to be PG appropriate in chat at least three times. In the global chat, you made an innpropriate statement that I let slide with a verbal warning. You also asked multiple times about swearing and asked multiple times how long a ban would be for swearing in other languages. This showed me that you were aware of the rules and that such comments were against them. In addition, you asked at least four times if “any mods are online” followed with comments about dirt trade. Whether or not this was a joke, this also showed me that you knew about the rules. The first death-wish comment you made was, “lets burn saaturn on a witch fire for inforcing the rules!” This also showed me that you were aware of the rules and instead did not want them to be enforced. The second death-wish comment you made was, “i hope you fall down the stairs and die @saturn.” These comments are not appropriate, kind, or funny, and can certainly impact people in negative ways. We want our server and community to be a positive, friendly, and appropriate environment. Do you understand how what you have said and done here is breaking the rules of the server and that wishing death upon someone is not something that should be joked about? How can we be assured that rules will not continue to be broken if you returned to the server?
Hey Saaturnd, I'd just like to start this with an apology, as I know that that's one of the only ways I can go about appealing this decision. I fully understand how what I did was not only immature for me, but also extremely rude. I also, hope you didn't take anything said during the immature series of comments personally, as in the moment I hadn't realized the consequences of my actions. "Do you understand how what you have said and done here is breaking the rules of the server and that wishing death upon someone is not something that should be joked about?" Yes, I do know understand how I went wrong and that I should avoid making such 'jokes', of which are just insults covered in the defense of it being a "joke". "How can we be assured that rules will not continue to be broken if you returned to the server?" I hope that you can be assured that rules will NOT be broken upon my arrival as I hold the community dear to me, and wouldn't want to harm the peaceful and kind environment of it that I have experienced, furthermore, I've realized why those rules are in place, although I've only been playing for a few days. In conclusion, I hope you, and anyone affected by this can be forgiving enough to re-allow me into the server, have a lovely rest of your day, Saaturnd.
S4vvyos, thank you for your response. I accept your apology and thank you for your maturity. I did not take any of your comments personally, however, that is just me. As I mentioned, these kind of comments shouldn’t be normalized or in regular conversation on our server. Should they have reached someone else, something much worse could’ve happened. It’s always good to practice kindness, no matter to whom. You never know what someone is going through and how you may contribute to that with rudeness and immaturity that can be easily prevented and avoided entirely. In order to consider your appeal for approval, I must also ask about the builds created on your island. Inapropriate builds and exploits are against server rules. I asked you prior to the ban to stop building them four times, and to delete them immediately, but you did not. How can we ensure you will remove these builds and not build more if you are unbanned? How do we know you will listen to warnings going forward if this happened again?
I formally apologize for the builds that were placed on my island, and will not build anything that is inappropriate or exploits an exploit, as dirt duplication could result in a disrupted environment and economy. I did not see the warnings in chat, as I rarely read it, although that doesn't make anything any better, and it doesn't simply remove what I did from history, I still accept full responsibility for what I did. It was only my own ignorance that lead to such actions, and hope I can redeem myself in the future. As for how you can ensure I will not do such things in the future, I now understand the severe consequences of my actions and would like to move on, and see how if I were to do the same thing in the future, I would likely suffer even more severe consequences as it would be the second time it would have happened. Additionally, I didn't really find any of what I did too fun, and it isn't something I enjoy doing, as the consequences outweigh the rise out of being 'edgy'.
S4vvyos, After reviewing your appeal, we believe it’s best to reduce your ban by 7 days. In order for this to be accepted, you must agree to have the two builds from your island removed.
