    The Survival server has been facing a problem ever since the 1.19 update, and that is a consistent decrease in cash flow on the server. This is due to the Wandering Trader.

    When the Trader sells something very desirable (i.e Beacons and Netherite Scraps) hundreds, even thousands of grass can be used to buy these valuables each day.

    This is a problem because the money isn't circulating around the server like it would with player-shops. Because of this, combined with purchases from /warp grass (to a lesser extent, but still - e.g players may buy End Chests or Clay), the grass flow has really stagnated, since the Grass is just being deleted from the server, and rewards from kits and voting are not keeping up.

    This has resulted in a huge dip in demand, and prices of rares. Anyone who was around in the 1.12 times will know that almost every DP was at a bare minimum 1.5dcs, and they were able to sell their rares fairly easily; now many new ones sell for around 0.5-1dc. Value seems to drop day by day.

    I'm not sure myself as to what could be done, but something like a nice bump to /kits, or cutting Wandering Trader prices could be a good start.

    I tagged this as Survival only, because it's a different story on Economy, where you can just print money at ease.

    adding /quests would add grass flow too!

    I don't know, I feel the quests would be just as pointless as the challenges

    I'd like /jobs so people could post their jobs for people but not quests


    As to increase grass flow, I think more grass is made daily then is spent, and I think having any change the would resemble eco would ruin the nice player-based economy we have here. Maybe making /daily 5 grass or changing /daily to a wheel with 1g, 5g, 10g, and so on, maybe with crate keys too, with better rewards being harder to get.

    But we don't have a complete player-based economy anymore, we have a Wandering Trader that sucks up 1,000+ grass per day from the server. Again, not in a condescending way but I don't think you played back in 1.12 (there was no Trader), this was not an economy ruined like eco's, cash flow was secure and steady, rares were valued and traded. How should we address this?

    Trader barely has beacon and only a few times I've seen scrap, so really it doesn't suck up 1k grass daily, and even if it did, more than 1k grass is made through /daily and kits

    yes, but you are not factoring in the fact that obviously a large chunk of grass is hoarded and not spent, this wasn't much of a problem before the trader came and started vacuuming tons of grass never to be seen again, but overall it is a clear decline. If not, all the DP's values would not have dipped by 50%

    i dont know about anyone else but i miss being able to get an elytra for a reasonable price
    i also miss being able to sell my rares for more then a £2.50 gc

    That's an exaggeration, plenty of elytra's are given away for free and should be worth a lot as they are one of the only profitable rewards from leg key. 2, any new dp heads still go for a dc+ which is a 54$ gc

    iont wanna get into it but either you dont know what your talking about or you just couldn't be bothered to do some research on the current prices of items. To keep it short new dps used to go for a minimum of 1.5+dcs and elytras used to be around 500g, do /find shops owned elytra there isnt one shop on the entire server open right now.

    last month i was looking for one, it took me over an hour of asking people privately and the lowest cost for one was 900g which is buns

    Yeah and the first few days DP’s released they were going for 2,3,4dcs… anyone remember the 5DC Pastel Creeper? You’d be lying if you sold any for more than 2dc these days!

    But this is exactly what's happened to eco too. Certain players hoard the scraps. Bought low cost at 500k, but then resell then at over 6.5million. That's an increase of $6,000,000!! Per scrap.. and you say that it doesn't drain the economy server when those players are literally hoarding peoples money at gross inflation rates.
    Same with drop heads, they don't sell nearly as much on eco as they used to because noone has that money anymore.

    Sure eco has cropper farms, but not everyone has one that is profitable. The issue with grass/balances being hoarded will always be a thing and whilst its a thing, other people are always going to struggle.


    Going back to when voting one, would give you keys and balance on eco, AND keys and grass on survival.

    That was when everyone on eco sold their grass to survival, and survival sold their balances to eco. It actually WORKED like that.

    And ever since cross server cote rewards were stopped, people have found it near impossible to trade amounts they used to before. They don't offer nearly as much as before due to this. Rates are lowest they've ever been simply because both servers don't have the other server rewards to trade.

    A very simple fix could be to reintroduce dual server rewards. Then economy players can sell their sb grass to survival = survival gets hundreds of players worth of grass sold to them, sorts out your lack of grass issue.

    Survival players sell their balance to eco for their sb grass = more eco players will have balances and can trade rares again


    I can count probably 5 or 6 players who have over 100mil now, who only ever take players money.

    One player told me " they take other players money from selling keys literally to hoard the balances away from eco" and like... no comment there ig.

    So it really isn't just a survival server issue. Lack of income balances affect us all.

    Understandable, I’m not really an eco player as much as when I began on this server so I wouldn’t know for sure. All I’m saying is it’s less of a problem because getting money is really easy on eco as long as you set up some farms. Maybe these suggestions could make their way over to eco too

    I agree with you that cropper farms do help. But like. Mine rn only gives me like 8k per tax round. Having spent millions. I wouldn't say its profitable just yet. Especially as I dont afk it 24/7.
