Hopper why not just keep it as is! You might want to come back in future, you never know! I took a two-year break a couple of times but came back!

We can't deactivate your account, the closest thing we can do is to set your account to Private mode. No one can view your profile now except for those that you follow.

If you would like to go through with a deletion, this is irreversible but just let us know if you would like to do so.

Hopper was not requesting a deletion or for us to permanently erase his account data.

We get these requests via our support email pretty often nowadays, the forums has over 70k+ legit members and we have oldschool players that want to get rid of their posts and/or user data from years ago. We have no problem following through with such requests whether players threaten us with the GDPR or not.

Would you like to continue with deleting your account or is Private Mode a satisfactory outcome?

Thank you crew for pointing that out.
How about the requirement of a GDPR compliant Privacy Policy as well as the requirement that EU users need to explicitly consent before their data is being processed by you and third party services. How about GDPR compliant contracts with the third party services that use our data?

To be clear, I am not interested in making Skyblock pay a fine. This is my way of saying: If someone wants to, they can make it happen. As a big fan of +10 years into Skyblock this is not in my personal interest.

Hopper a reply rather than a react would be nice as a confirmation of what you'd like, please.

You are making illogical points. Mineverse LLC follows all regulations necessary in terms of the privacy of a user and user confidentiality. When a member is creating their forum account, they must agree to the terms laid out here: Terms of Service and Rules | Skyblock Official Site.
What you are doing right now is finding random points on the internet to try and create a point which does not make any sense. If you took your time to maybe look through the forum and understand the process behind creating an account and what you are agreeing to, you will see that all necessary information is laid out for members and if they do not wish to create an account and join the forum, they do not have to as there is no obligation. Kind of an idiotic response in my opinion. Not trying to be rude but I am not seeing what you're trying to achieve.

Agreeing to a Privacy Picy is not the only requirement of the GDPR. It needs to conform the Requirements of the GDPR.

It is required to list down all parts of information stored, what for and for how long. It also needs to list a contact information for the Data Privacy Officer. It does not do that.

Please have a look at Article 13 Art. 13 GDPR – Information to be provided where personal data are collected from the data subject - General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Are you familiar with the law? Did you study law?

This is nothing personal. I studied law, I worked for state, I was there when it got introduced in 2018 and wrote essays evalutating situations (like is an email address personal identifiable information according to GDPR and are non european websites fitting subject to the GDPR) I am trying to help preventing something and all those dislikes and disagreements will not stop someone from causing real trouble on purpose. Let's try to prevent it together before it is too late.

Theres some shady consulting companies selling services and telling you its alright but then the fines come in and the only thing they made properly was the contract that excluded them from damages resulting out of their recommendations. You need to invest some time to get websites GDPR compliant or the European Union Visitors need to be excluded to be safe. But theres also many good companies doing it. They set up a Privacy policy statement where GDPR is valued and all ifnromation is contained. They set up contracts with third party services and then you're good to go.

I know people hate the EU or many of you don't understand it. Keep hating, my posts can be used for your rage. It won't get you far in life though. Better go study law.

I appreciate your concerns, we are compliant with the GDPR but we will double check the requirements. If you see anything that you believe we are missing, feel free to create a ticket on our Discord and I will make sure it gets resolved.

As we have addressed Hopper's request, I will be locking this thread now.

If anyone wishes to permanently delete their account and all related data, please email us at [email protected] from the email associated with your account.

    Thank you.
