Ever Since i have joined the forums i have found it to be hard and confusing to use, its difficult to find what i am searching for. 2 Staff Team Buttons: I have noticed that there are excessive buttons for things that dont need to be there and some buttons that lead to the same thing twice, such as the Staff Team button and Members button, which if you Hover your mouse over the Members Button there is an another button that leads to the Staff Team Page. Same Buttons as Skyblock.Net Website: Why are there buttons for the Shop, Vote, Downloads, Bedrock and Merch if there are already Buttons for them on Home/Skyblock.net? This just makes no reason for Skyblock.Net Website to exist if the forums already has all the features of the Skyblock.Net Website. I think they should be removed to make Forums look less confusing and to give the Skyblock.Net website a reason to exist. (Ik Skyblock.Net is the server IP, but if the forums has the same Features as the Website then why not just make Skyblock.Net a blank page at that point) Small Changes: These arent a major problem but i personally think the button that leads to your profile (the button with your name on it) should be renamed to " Profile " and The Smaller " Update your Status " (one with your name on it) should be moved to the space above " Members Online Now " in the Main Forums Page. Dark Mode: I have seen a few people wanting a Dark Mode, as it may be hard to look at a bright white background at night or in general, So i suggest There should be a Dark Mode in Preferences. Thats all the suggestions i came up with, would love to see them get implemented as they would make the forums kinda better and easier to navigate through.
I meant the Website there (it says right there) and i was talking about the Website's features not the server
My point still stands, Why would the Website have any features if those features are on the forums, at that point just make the Website a blank page.
Edit: I have realized that there is also a bug where it doesnt display Forums Reactions on the First Message of Threads, this obviously needs to be fixed.
honestly, it may just be me, but ive never really had a problem with navigating the forums site, then again i dont use it all that much
This is not true, this is not the standard XenForo template for XenForo 1, it is edited. XenForo does not handle any modifications to the forum's template and any HTML/CSS edits made to its style properties. I asked Crew if he was going to re-design the forum as he did with Mineverse and he probably will in the future and just appoint the same web developer who designed Skyblock's homepage and re-designed Mineverse's forum page. I think it would be really nice to redesign the forum though! One button is integrated through a XenForo add-on, the other is integrated through the standard XenForo staff list. I don't see an issue with it but could just remove the XenForo one. These tabs are needed and are associated with the homepage. Seems unnecessary and complicated to do as it requires to edit standard the XenForo template for the user settings section. I personally like the light theme, it reflects Skyblock and the brightness of the gamemode, but it wouldn't hurt to add a dark mode. Could probably be added when they update the forum in the future.
yeah i've used this forum since 2013 i'd rather not see it changed. it's very nostalgic for OG players
no hate no disrespect, love everyone. feel free to argue or not, i didn't read much up top so if i repeat anything said, my bad. website and server looks like its from 2012, light theme not everyone enjoys its just a personal pref type thing. its not hard to navigate, just its always good to better your product overtime and find flaws, iron it out blah blah. learn from better/competitor websites/servers, find what they could do better and do it here. making stuff look simple, presentable, easy to traverse for newer folks to join in, but still have enough for the older folks too. that goes a long way. tabs are needed for homepage, but when there is multiple links leading to one site, it gets to be a bit well, not only confusing to some, but seems like little care was taken to make it at least look and feel professionally done. almost like it was quickly put together or something, although it probably wasn't. uh there's some in-game server text that still needs to be up-to-date, same with some /warps (/warp info). commands could be added to /faq also, like /environments or /shops find owned/wanted [item_name] and probably some more i cant think of right now. ah idk im tired dare i say, maybe even close classic and mineverse whatever that is? not much need anymore seems like, at least classic. good server, some stuff just needs reworked imo, im sure there is more i forget, everything can become better. multiple full time devs (probably 2 is fine), and when the developers don't got nothing going on, give them a project for future skyblock to work on yk. skyblock is cool, its all cool, works fine as it is now, could be better
I've made a suggestion post for a dark mode in the past too, the rest is alright imo. The website looks like it's from '12 but I don't really care tbh.
