In other news, coming up on a month of this application being open, I'm pleased by the support and feedback thus far. I've continued the status quo, active on Discord and all three servers. I'm encroaching fast on the top 200 active Discord members and finally have a excellent build idea for Eco I can pour my money into Also, Gary beat me for the first time in a SkyWars duel this week and I was crushed, tbh. Everyone congratulate 'GMoney' (ugh, Jon...)

As an FYI, Gary and I will be traveling to Japan June 5 - June 26 so I will not be in-game too much, save for the fireworks celebration on Survival mid-month. I expect to be similarly active on Disc and on the forums, though, and I'm excited to be aligned timezonewise with my mates downunder for a change! Eee!

 

I wanna start off by saying Bri is an amazing staff applicant! She's active on discord, Floats between servers often and has made herself known to be a helpful and trustworthy member for all communities. Bri is also very intuitive and willing to put in the extra work for things to be made right when things go wrong. Before I started getting to know the Skyblock community well bri encouraged me to dive into the spaces in which the entire community are active and get to know people. She's amazing at bringing people together and I think she's proven to be a valuable asset to the server and its players. Bri is more than qualified and I think She would make an amazing addition to the team!

I've never had a negative interaction with Bri. She is kind and helpful, intelligent and funny. She has the maturity, resilience and trustworthiness desired of staff. I believe she'd be an incredible addition to the team and an impeccable staff member for the community.

Bahaha, thanks so much for the support! To clarify- thagomizer is a part of a dinosaur tail, and slag actually refers to a by-product of ore-processing, relevant to Minecraft and loosely to some of my dabbling in geology! In that context, Slag is a perfectly appropriate (even, fitting!) nickname, isn't filtered by SkyBlock's automod chat feature, and is just coincidentally silly given the usage of it across the pond. Thanks for critiquing that / bringing it up, I'm open to changing my IGN to something other than Slagomizer if need be.

 

I suppose it would be surprising that I’ve not been banned, if the 20+ members of the staff team who are able to review my evidence and report against the player you are referencing were also so easily swayed by the pleas of predatory persons as you are. I maintained the privacy of everyone involved in all of my dealings, including the perpetrator, and most importantly was acting under the guidance of staff the whole way, none of whom seem displeased with my efforts to keep our server safe. You’re three or four chains of information removed from that which you reference, though, so I don’t blame you for the misinformation you’ve received or believed. It is sometimes difficult to reason with multiple conflicting streams of information, but through all, I stand by my actions because SkyBlock is safer because of them, court of public opinion be damned.

In the future: if you are truly concerned about the conduct of other players, for instance when a member of our server has engaged in conduct which you believe to be so serious as to warrant a ban, please consider filing a report here. I hope that helps! Thank you so much for the feedback.
