I have read the rules, I had not read all of the rules at the time of the incident
I believe the ban was a correct result of my actions
I admit to taking items from an open chest of another player, I acknowledge my mistake in this action. All I can say in my defense is that I did not maliciously take the items, I had seen and add for old items the character was selling and discovered the items in open chests on the island. The player was afk at the time and I messaged the letting them know their chests were unlocked. I agree I should not have taken the items and I am happy to return them if that has not already been dealt with. I recently started playing on the server with a couple of friends working on our island. I have no intention of taking items from another player without their permission ever again.

Hey, thank you for appealing.

I appreciate your honesty. I know this is a first offense, and therefore I would like you ask you to explain in your words why stealing is wrong and is not tolerated on our server so as to prevent this incident from happening again.

 

Sure thing, in addition to the numerous moral infractions you can cite, stealing within the server allows an undesirable environment to form. The server is in place for players to be able to enjoy playing a game and to be involved a trusting community. Individuals should not have to fear for their items as all players should be devoted to maintaining the "culture" present within the server. I fully understand why I was banned and do not wish to further the disruption to the server environment created by my actions.

 

Thank you for your honesty and cooperation. I invite you to go over our rules once again until you fully understand them.

Please remember that if you break this rule again, the punishment may be harsher.
