Greetings, I have recently started to play on the classic server. As I have slowly started developing my island I have begun to realize how reliant I am on Hoppers to collect my farm drops. For example I wanted to set up an automatic sugarcane farm but quickly realized that if I did that the drops would have no where to go and would just sit there, lagging the server until clear lag nabs it. To somewhat fix this problem I set up a button system that breaks the sugarcane and water streams make the sugarcane go into my inventory. This however quickly gets tedious and I forget to press the button as well. This makes resource gathering slower and more tedious which frustrates some players. I heard that Hoppers were disabled many years ago due to dupe exploits which I totally understand. If this issue could be patched then I would 100% support hoppers re-enabled on the server once again. This would also help attract players both new and old to classic in greater numbers. Were Hoppers disabled to stop people stealing stuff from locked chests or was there duping as well? However, on /skyblock and /economy there is a plugin that prevents items being taken from locked chests. I realize that these servers are 1.12.2 but would it be possible to get a later plugin that does the same thing but on 1.8.9?
yeah you are right, classic is not in the developers focus right now. so even if they could, they probably would not
