If you're referring to the AMD A series chips and the previous chips then yeah they were absolute garbage. However AMDs Ryzen 5 mobile chips provide a quad core cpu with decent or pretty good Gigahertz. The main selling point was the Vega 8 graphics that were part of the cpu which provided a lot of performance for being an integrated graphics card.

AMDs new ryzen 4000s mobile chipe are blazing fast however my main issue is the Vega 6 graphics that is soldiered onto the cpu. Gpu.benchmark test and passmark revealed that the Vega 6 graphics is somewhat slower than the Vega 8. Though im hoping AMD will update the drivers on the Vega 6 to make it on par or better than the Vega 8 graphics

All that being said, I'm considering buying a Ryzen 5 3500u laptop mostly because the graphics on board is amazing for the price I'm paying

vega 8 is good, for integrated graphics. Even a 580 beats it out performance-wise by a mile and a half.

    almost 6 times better.
My point is, getting a laptop for gaming is a bad idea. You will get ridiculously lower performance and way more price. Laptops should be for web browsing, and desktops for gaming.
I can present benchmarks to prove my point, if you want me to.

Well you compared a desktop gpu to an integrated laptop gpu so yeah it would make sense. Yeah I agree that laptops aren't really made for gaming (unless you dont mind shelling out a lot of money) but then I don't think I'll be able to get a custom pc up until Black Friday of this year at the least.

Alright so here's my take on what you should do. I have a gaming PC that's about two years old and I did hours upon hours of research before buying so I think I can help. The laptops you have listed off all have integrated graphics cards, which to me, is a red flag. If you are going to wanting to be doing gaming with fairly high settings, the GPU is very important. I would say your best PC for the money is the $600 build. As long as you confirm the parts would properly fit together, that is most likely your best option. I don't see a need to spend $150 more just for an extra 10-15 fps when your already getting 300+. If you ever need an upgrade in 5 years, you already built the PC so you know how to do everything. Let know if this helped!
