I really enjoy the skyblock maps that noobcrew created. Maybe some day my maps might generate a few users who like playing them. Still it won't be as grand as the views noobcrew received for his maps. I just like building skyblock maps for fun. I like to try making it a bit different then just tree and chest challenge. Something a bit more like Mario would be kind of cool but with skyblock.

So here is my newest Skyblock map called Sky Terrace.

I am wondering if Noobcrew will be able to beat this map.
Its a bit on the challenging side.

Anyone is more then welcome to take up the challenge.

I feel like that is just too big for a Skyblock Map, the point is limited resources but that’s certainly not limited:p What’s the bedrock box about? Doesn’t that take out the fun of having to build a shelter to defend yourself from hostile mobs?

The bedrock box is basically newbie player protection area. In certain multiplayer maps its a holding cell for new players if there are no mods on to let them out. In a single player map it doesn't make all that much sense. This gamepedia article kind of explains the mechanics behind it.

There are no blocks available for the player till they get to the actual tutorial level. I kind of wanted a safe spawn hut which you could go out to take on adventures and then bring back resources from said adventure to make your ship better or to build your own little ship in the ship yard.

Technically I could have just let the player spawn at Mort's house which would probably be the ideal solution. Skyblock++ had a bedrock spawn area which the player went into prior to going to the actual level. The ship is there to take the player on adventures and is supposed to be a single player map. Though I have been tinkering with the idea to make it a multiplayer map. The map area in the tutorial is a lot less limited in terms of materials as it is designed to be more of a platformer type level than just open chest, and harvest tree. It is kind of a skyblock level built as a platformer. The dirt is still limited and mobs can literally spawn everywhere which adds to the challenge. It is kind of like Super Mario bros 3. There is still stuff I need to revise on it as I was told there was too many phantoms on it so I reduced the amount. Some of the flaws of the map is there is no cobblestone generator, and no coal which means that when it gets dark it will be kind of hard to light up the island.

I just updated the map and removed the bedrock house as it didn't anything useful to the map itself.
