Economy Updates - May 6th, 2020 Droppers will now slow down when containing certain items such as pork. Still moves rather quick, however this is to reduce the strain on the server from a dropper dispensing an item as quick as 5 times a second. With hundreds doing this at once, this can be responsible for up to 10% of the lag on the server at times. Dispensing water/lava is slower in dispensers, will function around 1/2 times compared to before. This is to reduce lighting updates from machines that dispense liquids quickly. Steps are disabled from other players and some mobs. We will test this and add back for some entities. Made login code within Spigot a tiny bit faster. Please keep in mind too, bypassing the alt limit using a vpn is not allowed and may result in a 12-24 hour temp ban warning on the additional accounts logged in. This will be increased from 24 hours up to 7 days if not followed.
Right now just Pork, but we may do other items in the future. If we do end up seeing machines or farms that are rapid firing items, then those items are going to have be slowed down a bit. It's still about 1 item per second.
Rip alt-farming, but whatever helps the server I guess. Thanks Crew ps. Why are stairs/steps disabled?
I'm sure it will be beneficial for the future, however now I am going to have to think of another system for an item transport system rather than the one I have else my system is going to back up. In some ways this update may cause an increase in players using hoppers, which I know already have a limit on them - will this not just cause further lag?
Oh I see - I should've thought to the last update where chicken footsteps were accountable for the lag. I'm half asleep and have a bad headache, apologies
