So this is more a question for a mod but if i made an elevator for my island and the chunks unloaded or something(idk how it happens but it does i left a single player world and rejoined) but it sometimes the elevator will duplicate the observers i have to use for it to work idk if the server has like a plugin to fix this or something but if i could get a reply from a mod then i would feel better thank you
This would not be allowed. It would cause intense lag and if it dupes those observers, you will be banned.
Maybe check if it really duplicates them, even with one of my triple piston extenders it looks like it duplicates the observers but their ghost blocks, try right or left clicking them to see if they just disappear
It would lag the server which is a semi-bannable offence in itself, but try it out. If the observers dupe, never do it again and report it immediately. I'd know cuz I was banned for duping. (Twice.)
He isn’t lagging it on purpose so he wouldn’t be banned for that It’s a visual duplication meaning they appear to dupe but aren’t really a block all you have to do is right click it and it will go away
I know what he means. It's like placing a block, and it places, but your inventory desyncs and you still have said item in your hand (Or the opposite way round). There are some instances where ghost blocks can turn into real blocks, and I'm saying in that case it's an issue.
No items are duplicated from the creation of ghost blocks. Krissy and Lemonade previously ruled on this issues as (super-)moderators (also asked Cypriotmerkz back then) It is perfectly allowed, as long as the ghost blocks are not used as flooring. Players walking on said ghost blocks would get kicked for flying. This was previously an instant tempban, which made them far more problematic when abused. The creation of "duplicated" ghost blocks isn't illegal, though. You can create as many as you want, and they do not cause lag. Source: Used ghost blocks extensively in singleplayer and on Skyblock These statements are both false. As to please give a source. When first using them on Skyblock I read about this topic a lot, concluded that it is in no way possible - the server never registers the blocks.
I would suggest this is the most sensible option. Yes, this is a valid explanation to the time - but the rules have been updated since this, and I am not confident without discussion from the team as to whether the original ruling still stands. To be on the safe side, for now, unless confirmed otherwise, I would suggest the actions as described in the first post of this thread would, upon general interpretation, get you banned.
Thank you for your thread on a recent issue. The issue has been resolved. This thread has been moved to the Help Archives.
