Hello there! I'm __Oakseyy__… The server has a lot of lag, and considering I have been through this lag thousands of times; I can handle it. Haha! Sorry to inform you but there aren't any fixes. You can help reduce your own personal lag by removing item frames, hoppers, etc. from your island or with a better computer but the server can't really be fixed by anything you do.
You could try taking down extra item frames, chest, signs, etc. The server said that is supposed help a bit.
There isn't anything major which you can do to affect server lag, you can contribute to reducing the overall server lag in the large scheme of things by removing any unwanted entities and any redstone machines which you do not necessarily need. I would also advise against building any large redstone machines as this will draw attention to the managers/ developers; which will likely have a word with you and get you to reduce the size of the machine.
When I was on skyblock where thing that happen to me once was players and even mod can't see me even though i didn't have anything on and also like half of my island i can place blocks and open chest but the other half I couldn't. Even with Ethernet I don't know what happen, could this be lag or server problem of some sort?
Test your connection (google: speedtest) if you want. Sounds like your connection is definitely not the problem here though.
No need to ask how to help with the lag when you got few of the high staff members already made it worse Just kidding, don't place billions of spawners, redstone, and more items I kinda forgot to help reduce the lag for you and for the server itself.
The server is just laggy. Its how it is, I used optifine to completly remove all animations and effects and it doesnt lag at all.
