Closed Add the option of Selling Grass on Tradeshops

What everyone is talking about here is selling money for a product. That's a bit backwards I think. If someone has grass to sell for diamonds and you have diamonds to sell for grass, I fail to see a problem here. Be the seller, not the buyer. You are either getting grass for a diamond or giving grass for a diamond, it's the same thing.

 

The point is that if players want grass, they can exchange grass for diamonds. And if they want to buy diamonds, they can also buy diamonds

 

I understand your point. Try to understand mine. I'm really trying to help you with this so you don't get frustrated that the developers won't add a sell option for grass. You purchase diamonds with grass period. If you want to sell your grass for diamonds then go to a shop which has diamonds, click on the crate. Your grass will go into the crate and you will get a diamond. You just sold your grass for a diamond. Let me put this in real life terms for you. What you suggest is the same as you standing behind a McDonald's counter with money in hand and a customer gives you food in exchange for that money. It doesn't matter who has the diamond and who has the grass, the exchange is the same. Your point is that you don't want to go to shops, you want people to come to you. You can always create a buy crate in which case people will give you a diamond for your grass in your shop. I know people have buy crates where they pay less for items then sell them for more but that's just what they are doing. You can do a buy crate for 1 diamond at 4-5 grass which would be the going rate for exchange in most shops. It's the same thing as selling your grass for diamonds except a diamond is floating above the crate not grass.

 

Wait a second, to sell grass, just do a buy shop, and people sell stuff to you for grass, so they get the grass, and you get the item they sold

 

That's what I have currently in my tradeshop however, the issue with that is it can cause confusion on whether you're selling diamonds or grass because of the diamond floaty thing on the top.

Yea, but it causes confusion whether you're selling diamonds or not. People would think that I'm selling diamonds and would misinterpret that the price of diamonds is not high, rather im selling grass for diamonds to make a profit

 

I understand your point but I don't think they will change the program because people can't read. It's pretty clear on the sign that you are buying something not selling. Besides, if the person clicks on the crate and doesn't have a diamond to sell, then nothing will happen so it's not like people will accidentally sell a diamond or get ripped off in some way. You can always post in chat that you are buying and selling diamonds. Many people post buying/selling announcements that way people know you want to buy something and that they should come to you.

 

I see what you mean, but I've had many incidents of people telling me that my diamond price is a ripoff, despite me telling them I'm buying diamonds. Also Lee stated earlier that the plugin, although would require a redesign, it is simpler and makes it less complicated
