Skyblock /warp competition

Hi all

So I have thought of a really fun thing that could maybe be implemented into the server.

How it works:

So each (time period) Skyblock could host a competition where players can work on creating an island souly for creative purposes. At the end of the (time period) players that have entered will have their island showcased on a post on the forum with a poll. Players can vote for which island they want as a /warp.

This warp will be called /warp competition
Each time a new competition ends the new winner’s island will become the new /warp competition

(The winners island can be copied with world edit to the /warp completion area as it is showcased)


Benefits:

This would encourage players to be more creative and build stunning creations.

An extra reward for players that spend and put a lot of effort into being creative on the server.

An extra warp that is updated often that can showcase what is actually possible on skyblock (this could be something that could be showcased on the skyblock twitter and Instagram if this implemented. Thus promoting the server, people are attracted to pretty things)

This can be done already with the puglins and resources we already have on the sever. It would just require a moderator to manage / keep a record of players entered. And create the post for the poll for players to vote.
1 developer would have to setup the /warp and copy the winners island to the warp. (This is a really simple thing to do with world edit)



Let me know what you think about this.

I think this would be a really cool idea if implemented as it would give players an awesome thing to aim towards while being creative.

My only issue with this is will this have a player limit like a limit of 10 people or something where people have to register for a spot? Because there are a lot of skyblockers so what if most of them wants to join the competition? So that is something to think about.

But other than that I really like the idea of letting players be creative and build and for the lucky winners that get rewards. I also like that we can further use this in social media and promote the server and make it more lively in general.

 

Full support! Mineverse has monthly competitions, why don't we have any?

 

Support it would very cool and add some new characteristics to the server and it wouldn’t hurt no body

I never understood why mineverse had monthly competitions and not skyblock.

Competitions in skyblock would be like more than amazing to have. Full support

it does now, but it was once bigger and that’s why it had competitions, is what i meant

 

The reason why mineverse went down is too many resets, creative no longer has special items like godded items, notch heads, and player heads, and less updates.
